I was there on a Saturday at about 2.30 pm and did not quite expect the long queue at that time. I joined in the queue and waited for 30 minutes before got to order. I decided to go with the $4 portion. It was not fried by the famous Uncle but by a much younger one. First mouthful. It did not taste quite like it. The wok hei was distinctly missing. It did not have much of the pork lard nor the taste as well. The texture was rather moist. It served with a handful of cockles, bean sprouts and wit
First mouthful. It did not taste quite like it. The wok hei was distinctly missing. It did not have much of the pork lard nor the taste as well. The texture was rather moist. It served with a handful of cockles, bean sprouts and with a bit too little egg. I remember it used to have chinese sausage too but it was missing this time.
It used to taste much better before when it was fried by that old Uncle but definitely disappointing this time. Perhaps i should have check who is behind the wok before i started to queue next time. Is it worth the queue? Not so if it is not fried by that famous Uncle.
