As today's workshop is about kampong community, the buffet is decorated to the theme. There are stalls serving Bamboo Putu, Kacang Puteh wrapped in paper cones and Ting Ting Candy. The bamboo putu is served hot and reminds me of mini mochi balls covered in grated coconut. The ting ting candy is chopped on the spot and packed into small packs. The ting ting candy is chopped on the spot and packed into small packs. A sweet that is seldom seen these days and tastes unique with its milky taste.
The kacang puteh stalls serves a variety of nuts from sugar coated peanuts, roasted peanuts, mixed nuts and chick peas.
But the stall getting the most attention must be the Ice Cream Push Cart which serves old school mixed flavoured ice cream in colored bread. The ice cream bread is yummy good and reminds most of us of our younger days.
There is also the usual buffet line which has a great spread of food ranging from Fried Rice, Fried Mee Goreng, Yam Ring, Curry Vegetable, Spicy Chicken, Seafood Fritter, Samosa, Siew Mai, to Satay.
For drinks, there is hot coffee and tea, as well as, ice cold Lychee Drink which tastes refreshing.
There is also Honey Sea Coconut Fruit Cocktail for dessert.There is a separate buffet line for those who are having vegetarian food. The serving is huge and more than enough to go around. The food is delicious and yummy.
