Manbok Chinatown served buffet lunch until 3 pm daily. Experiencing Korean BBQ at a reasonably priced at S$14.00 per person with a pretty good spread of food. A big pot of Ddukbokki is made available to diners. Having seen repeatedly this dish at various KDrama series, this is my first experience with the dish and I find it tasteless. The not so sticky flour covered with tomato and chilli sauce does not suit my taste bud. At the meat counter were generous amount of different types of meat. Chicken, beef, pork and the Samgyeopsal (3 layered flesh unmarinated pork. This dish must definitely dipped with ssamjang paste. We only arrived at this restaurant around 2.10pm and had only about less than an hour for the buffet lunch.
I could only find the squids available from the seafood section. Probably they did not replenish anymore of the seafood dishes past lunch time. The generous amount of lettuces in a big basket is definitely a good wrap for all the grilled meats. The service was good. The grilled plates are replaced every 10 minutes ensuring that the customers have a clean grill for different dishes.
The broth for Budaejjigae are topped up regularly without even requesting for it.
I was in such a hurry to complete my lunch that I have forgotten to take a photo of the hot stew.
