While shopping in 313 last friday, My mum and I decided to have our dinner at Food Republic since it is already close to 7:15pm. We were actually quite spolit for choices, since everything looks so yummy. Anyway, we eventually settled on the korean food stall and we ordered the vegtable beef soup set to share since we had something light earlier. Since it is a vegetable soup with beef, the vegetables are unlike those you will find in normal kimchi/beef soups, the stall uses spinach and big beansprouts. There is also an egg and dong fen in addition to the beef. There are also the dong fen is thinner than those i have tested at korean food stalls. The soup is spicier and also saltier than what I have at other stalls. The beef is peppery - I guess they seasoned it with black pepper before putting it into the soup. I did not enjoy the beef as much since the taste is not really complementary to the soup base. I love the kimchi though - I think it is one of the best of all that I have from food courts. Overall, still recommended!
