One of the restaurants here in Singapore that always stands out for me is Marche. Its marketplace concept is just so clever and cute that you just don’t go there for the good food, but also for the over all dining experience.Last night, my friends and I went there to end our rather tiring day. Last night, my friends and I went there to end our rather tiring day. After circling the restaurant a couple of times searching for the best dessert, we settled on the Strawberry Tart. For some reason, it seemed to call on us… eat me, eat me. Haha! Then, I ordered iced coffee to pair it up with the sweet treat.
Back to the tart, the topping tasted like strawberry jam with lots strawberry chunks. It wasn’t too sweet for me, which was perfect since I don't like desserts that are too sweet. The base also deserves a mention as it wasn’t too thick. I
t was also soft and complemented the strawberry very well.As for the coffee, it tasted good after a couple of sugar cubes and syrup. Though I didn’t realize that it was too strong until I was lying in bed at 2am…still wide awake!
Note to self: DECAF!
