Just Like It is a new ice cream chain, with a shop opens not long ago in ION Orchard. The place is painted black with staffs dressed in white lab coats. Bottles of colourful mixtures are kept in the see-through fridge. 3 huge gas cylinders are parked at the back of the shop. Overall the place looks like a science lab. What is unique about the shop is that it makes use of liquid nitrogen to make ice-cream. Liquid nitrogen is nitrogen in a liquid state at an extremely low temperature. Here one can watch as liquid nitrogen instantly transforms a standard sugar and cream mixture into ice cream without any measurable time elapsing. The liquid nitrogen is bit by bit pours in while the mixer is mixing the mixture.
Currently it has quite a limited menu of flavours of ice-cream which costs $5.90 for a regular cup of monthly flavour ice-cream to $9.50 for a large cup of durian durian ice-cream . One of its signatures is New PopCorn which costs $6.90 for a regular cup. A handful of popcorns are added into the mixer, just before it is served. As the popcorn is just kept in bottle, not air tight or freshly made, it tastes quite flat or lao hong. There is no cruchiness at all. Other than that the ice-cream just tastes like vanilla ice-cream.Overall it is just the novelty experience. The ice-cream isn't that great on its own.
