After shopping at Tangs, it's gratifying to know that within the mall houses a cafe serving tired and hungry souls. We ordered one of the Island's Specials for that month, Crispy Fish Noodle Soup ($16), which includes dessert (tau suan) and coffee/tea. The chef has considerately separated the fish fillet from the noodle soup to retain the crispiness of the fish. Thick vermicelli is served for this dish, along with a milky broth. However, the soup tasted bland, thus minus points for the dish. But

One plus point for the fish is that it is thinly coated with batter, so I could still taste the smooth texture of the fish.
The other main dish we ordered was Hainanese Pork Chop Rice ($14). This is the better dish of the two. Average rice and vegetables, but the dish was glorified by the crispy pork strips. I could eat many of these with the tangy tomato sauce on them!
Caesar Salad (with Lemongrass Chicken) ($12): Fresh simple salad dish comprising of hard-boiled eggs, tomatoes and lemongrass chicken on a bed of greens. Refreshing and tasty!
For such fare, the prices are set too high but can't blame them as this outlet is more catered to tourists.
