In addition, the japanese music was playing softly in the background.Impressive!
The first dish served was the seafood salad($10.80).It was made up of more than 10 different ingredients including seaweed,fish roes,scallop and clams.It was really crunchy and chewy.On top of that,it was really flavorful.The only complaint I would have for this dish is the seaweed was too salty.However I think it would taste fine if I were to eat everything together like my friend instead of eating the seaweed separately.
I was totally sold by the second dish,the all times favorite of every Japanese food lovers,sashimi! At $68,there was a good spread of premium sashimi which was imported directly from Japan. One of the highlights of the platter of sashimi was the engawa sashimi, fin muscles of sole fish.The sashimi literally melt in my mouth.Love every pieces of the sashimi served,they were so fresh and with e special seaweed shoyu with truffle oil,I was brought to heaven literally.
One of the dish that was not commonly found in every Japanese restaurant is the teapot soup.The teapot soup here was really luxurious, it was made with whole oyster.In my opinion,this soup tasted better without the lime. The nature sweetness of the ingredients used literally let me have a taste of the sea.
Gintara Mentaiyaki is definetly a must order here.The cod fish was cooked to perfection.On top of that,there is cheese added to the mentaiko thus the overall taste was really fragrant and definetly better than many other well known restaurants.
Another all time favorite is the sushi.The sushi here were made with hands instead of machine thus the firmness of the sushi can be felt when you first bite onto the sushi.Beside being fresh, the sushi here were made to bite size and this ensured the wholesome taste of what sushi is really about.
For anybody who love ramen,I strongly recommend the seafood ramen ($28) here.It is made from vegetables like cabbage, carrot,celery and many other vegetables.Then it was then machine blended to really fine before cooking it again with the seafood broth.Thus the end result is a bowl of really flavourful ramen with all the natural goodness and sweetness.Overall, I love the dinning experience here as the service was really attentive. On top of the service, the food served was really good and fresh! Fukuya is definitely going to be my next most favourite restaurant.
