I've heard rave reviews for this place so decided to try them out for lunch. It's kind of like an open concept restaurant with no glass doors etc. It's located at the end of link way from Shaw Center to Orchard Ion. You wait in line for a available table, meanwhile the waiter will pass you an order chit to fill up, once you are allocated a seat, you will proceed with payment first then wait to be served. I ordered the $9.90 beef steak set which comes with 2 Vietnamese spring roll, one bowl of beef pho noodles and a Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk.
My friend had the Ala carte duck yellow curry noodle ($8.90).
I like the Vietnamese spring roll, the specially made sauce goes very well with it with a sweet after taste. The spring roll is wrapped with a prawn and green onion.
Beef pho was the clear soup base type with tender red beef slices served.
Flavour is enhanced with a cut lime provided. Tried added hoi shin sauce to the soup and fortunately it taste nice. The soup is so tasteful that I finished the whole bowl

My friend was a little disappointed with her duck curry.
According to her, it doesn’t taste like duck and the curry taste is way too mild. Overall a good eat for me and would like to try the sandwiches next time, the bahn mi 5 spice pork belly which cost $5.90 looks popular with fellow diners.
