There was a limited 1 for 1 opening promotion at this outlet, so we sampled two “original” sized cups of their special “Sweet cream sensations” ice cream mix-in combinations: Swiss Cocoa Buttercup and Raspberry Cheesecake (each cup usual price $9). There was a limited 1 for 1 opening promotion at this outlet, so we sampled two “original” sized cups of their special “Sweet cream sensations” ice cream mix-in combinations: Swiss Cocoa Buttercup and Raspberry Cheesecake (each cup usual price $9). The Swiss Cocoa Buttercup flavor is a mixture of Nestle crunch bar and Reese’s, chopped into Swiss chocolate ice cream. The result is a very chocolately, highly decadent ice cream flavor that would satisfy any chocolate lover. You can easily make out the crunchy bits from the Crunch Bar, mixed together with the distinctive peanut butter bits from Reese’s as you savour the rich chocolate flavoured ice cream.
The Raspberry Cheesecake flavor is really refreshing and provides a nice contrast against the rich chocolate flavor we had. The ice cream essentially had a nice tart, sour new york style cheesecake flavor with tangy raspberry flavoured swirls inside it. There were also chopped graham biscuits in the mix to lend this particular ice cream flavor a greater cheesecake authenticity.
Overall, I was very surprised and delighted by the two Sweet Cream Sensations ice cream flavours sampled here, but $9 per cup seems rather expensive for me.
