Headed to JEM for dinner at Marché Mövenpick! Oh ya, this Marché is not the same as the one at vivocity and somerset. This one is ala-carte from menu, not the pick, scan card and pay after that.The downside is that the queue was not very long but we actually waited for 30 mins. We ordered a pizza, Bundnerfleisch ($26.90) which was the only meat pizza to share among 3 of us. Boy, it was really big. The description of the pizza goes like this, “Swiss air dried beef with wild rocket & parmesan cheese”. Anyway the pizza came and the waitress helped us to cut it! They have scissors that are specially used to cut the pizza up. I tried cutting it into smaller pieces myself and it was difficult! Thumbs up to our waitress, she made it looked so effortless! It was cut into 8 pieces, and one slice is like 1.5 times the usual size of the pizza, and it is not a round pizza, but a rectangular one!! Unique factor! Taste wise, it’s actually quite good. The rocket leaves took away some of the saltiness of the beef which makes it a good combination to top it off with cheese as well.
I got a tiramisu ($5.00) as well! The tiramisu was rather weird, not the usual kind that we eat, with lady fingers and all. It’s just different, like a pudding kind but still nice! It comes in a small cup.
Service is okay, relatively fast but they might not be able to attend to you immediately if the place is full. One very efficient paying method I saw was using the wireless credit card payment machine. The staff carry it with them and if you pay by credit card, they process the payment immediately instead of going to the counter.
