One might usually associate abalone with high-end Chinese restaurants and hefty price tags. So it was a pleasant surprise to find a shop in Little India selling minced meat noodles served with an abalone skewer at just $6 a bowl!Unless you've got an appetite like a sparrow, the portions aren't really all the adequate. But it lacks in quantity, the noodles more than make up for with the variety and quality of ingredients rarely found in your average bowl of minced meat noodles. The springy noodle

The springy noodles are topped with minced meat, slices of pork with both meat and fishballs. And let's not forget the crowning glory - the skewer of abalone which taste really fresh and wholesome.
For the true-blue foodie, the stall offers more than just its signature noodles. I had this savoury stew of tofu which earns thumbs up from me as well. The pieces of tofu were soft and smooth. Together with the thick, flavourful stew, was a great delight on the palette.So if you're ever looking for a touch of class to that very average bowl of noodles, keep Lam's in mind!
