Recently there is a new ramen restaurant in Tanjong Pagar. What's attracts me to the place is its various colourful flags surrounding the place. Inside it is simply decorated as the usual ramen place in red colour. Inside it is simply decorated as the usual ramen place in red colour. There are 6 different type of ramen dishes available : Tonkotsu Ramen, God Fire, Red Tonkotsu, Black Tonkotsu, Shio Tonkotsu and Miso Tonkotsu.
To order, one will select the type of ramen, the strength of the soup, texture of the noodle, topping, as well as, side dishes on the order slip. On the table, there is various sauces and sides such as free flow boiled eggs and spicy vegetables to help yourself to. Iced tea is served upon seated.
Red Tonkotsu ($13.50++)The Ikkousha original tonkotsu broth is mixed with special spicy cod roe paste, topped with thin noodles, tender pork chashu, bean sprouts and spring onions.
Black Tonkotsu ($13.50++)The Ikkousha original tonkotsu broth is mixed with special fried garlic paste, topped with thin noodles, tender pork chashu, fungus, spring onions and seaweed.
For $4.50++ more, a flavoured egg, 2 pieces of chashu and seaweed will be added to the bowl of bowl.
The Black Tonkotsu is very full of fried garlic oil taste, while the Red Tonkotsu has a hint of spicy taste. Both taste very thick and flavourful. The flavoured egg is not too salty and has the lava flowing out. Nice one.The staffs are quite friendly and fast in service. The place is quite relaxing and quiet. As for payment, currently the place only accepts cash payment mode.
