Went to get some desserts from Canton Paradise after dinner. I didn't think it was good. The packaging was sloppy and the dessert didn't tasted nice, it was bland and disappointing.I ordered the aloe vera and osmanthus jelly - $4.00For the price, I really expected more. For the price, I really expected more. It filled up only half of the container and had only 3 wolf-berries in it.. Seriously. Not the way to promote their business. I could taste the sugar more than the osmanthus taste itself and it was not really a jelly but a some honeyed water. Disappointing. I also bought the Red Bean and Yam Pastry - $3.90
It wasn't as bad as the jelly but it was still quite bad. Perhaps I was a little bias towards the negative viewpoint of the desserts. The redeeming quality was that it had bits of red bean that could be taken out so you would know that its made of real red bean. I couldn't really taste the yam. I would definitely not go and order the desserts from here as it is pricey and not worth it at all. I will still try their other main dishes which they are probably more well-known for.
