Old Town Coffee is one of my favourite restaurants to eat at because of its old quaint charm interior décor. It is suitable for lunch/dinner with main courses like rice, noodles (wanton mee!) and also breakfast with the good ole toast with butter and coffee. Service
As usual, the service is not so really good nor bad. When we reached, they just asked table for how many and pointed us to an empty seat and handed us the usual order form and menu. The food was served promptly and generally nice. You have to pay for your bill at the counter.
Food
For an afternoon tea, we ordered Toast with Ice-Cream and Spring Rolls. One hot and one cold dish, which is actually quite a funny combination but nevertheless yummy.
Ambience
As usual Old Town Coffee’s ambience is quiet and relaxing, the way I like it. Even though the food is not that satisfying, Old Town is still my choice mostly for the peaceful environment. However, Old Town usually gets full very easily and we quickly got out when there was a queue outside.
As previously mentioned, the price is too steep for the portion served. Seriously, it is quite outrageous to ask for so much and the fact that it is delicious hardly made up for the price they are asking for. They should either increase the portion or decrease the price. It makes me think twice about going back there because it is really quite expensive and there are other cheaper options around Jurong Point.
