Having been to Penang & tried all its good hawker food last October, I just wanted to satisfy my craving again at this restaurant which is named after a famous street in Penang. We ordered Penang Fried Kway Teow, Penang Rojak and Penang Lor Bak, as well as 2 glasses of Iced Bandung Chin Chow. The Penang Fried Kway Teow was good! It brought back the fond memories of the delicious wok-fried fried kway teow I had eaten in Penang. Yummy ^^As for the Penang Lor Bak, it actually tasted like our local n

As for the Penang Lor Bak, it actually tasted like our local ngor hiang. Quite yummy too, and the fried beancurd as the accompaniment was not bad too.
I didn't really enjoy eating the Penang Rojak though. It was more sour than spicy sweet and there was very little fried fritters or tau pok, mostly the cucumbers & turnip only. Not worth our $......
The Iced Bandung Chin Chow was a very refreshing drink that I felt went down well with all the oily & sinful food like fried kway teow and rojak hehe. However I don't remember it as a Penang specialty. ;)
Overall, I think the standard of this restaurant is pretty alright, at least most of the dishes tasted similar to the authentic ones found in Penang.
