Botejyu is one of the two restaurants in Jurong Point that serves okonomiyaki (japanese pancake). The restaurant serves two flavour of the pancake, namely, seafood oko and pork oko. I decided to try their seafood oko. I had to wait for 15 minutes during non-peak hours for the oko and it wasn't sizzling either when served. Pretty disappointing at first but I actually preferred it over the yakiyakibo's (The other okonomiyaki restaurant in Jurong Point). It is not as "saucy" as compared to yakiyaki

I had to wait for 15 minutes during non-peak hours for the oko and it wasn't sizzling either when served. Pretty disappointing at first but I actually preferred it over the yakiyakibo's (The other okonomiyaki restaurant in Jurong Point). It is not as "saucy" as compared to yakiyakibo's where they put a generous amount of sauce on the pancake. Botejyu's pancake is smaller in size but thicker, which is probably during to the amount of flour they put in to the pancake.

The seafood flavour was actually referring to 2 pieces of sotong and prawns. Sounds pretty pathetic but considering how small the okonomiyaki was, it was enough for me. Although I personally prefer Botejyu over Yakiyakibo, I think it'll depend on personal preference on whether one likes the sauce or not. I'm not a big fan of the sauce so I try to avoid it.

Anyway, I do recommend the pancake and from my dining experiences at Botejyu, I would say this is the most and only delicious dish from Botejyu.

By the way, you can add on an egg on top of the pancake for $1.
