Situated in the midst of Joo Chiat is Smokey's BBQ, a bistro bar that serves authentic American food. Vouched to serve true American flavours, Smokey's BBQ pays careful attention to details in mixing their own BBQ sauce, dressings, seasonings and even importing wood chips from USA making the flavors unique to Smokey’s.People with above average appetite will find the Pulled Pork Sandwich satisfying. Unfortunately, the meat was so dry that I could use double portion of their BBQ sauce instead.
James had the Grandpa's Joe Backyard Burger ($22) that was served with a thick and juicy beef patty. Despite that, I find the price simply unjustifiable.
Here it is, our 6 pathetic pieces of disjointed wings instead of 6 full wings. Stated as "fried jumbo wings" in the menu, we were utterly disgusted by the sheer portion. On top of that, it wasn't that crispy. Hot sauce was also scrimped and I was informed that it will cost $1.50 for another portion of sauce. Thankfully they came to their senses and offered the sauce FOC.
Total bill mounted up to $60 for these three dishes. It was an experience and I hope you find this review useful.
