Heard about this place from a friend... he said the pastries were great and, since Scotts Plaza is still pretty new, most people don't know about it and it's still quiet. So, decided we'd check it out for breakfast on a weekend. Arrived slightly before 11am on a Saturday and easily got a table. There were breakfast sets with espresso and 2 pastries for about $10. I had a croissant/pain au chocolat and the boyfriend had a croissant/apple turnover. They were among the best we've had in Singapor
They were among the best we've had in Singapore - flaky outside, soft inside, real chocolate filling (not the plasticky stuff they use at BreadTalk).
Anyway, we paid for breakfast then went up to the counter to see what they had for bread loaves. They were giving samples of their tomato bread and it was *divine*. We took a loaf of that and of the ciabatta which is also excellent. In the past 3 weeks since I first visited, I'd stopped by 3 times for the bread. If you prefer European style breads that aren't sweet, you'll love it!
