I think Ichiban Boshi whips out decent value for money japanese sets. Take for example this Katsu Don and Cha Soba set which costs about $16++:Katsu Don, green tea flavoured Soba noodles, thick slices of fresh sashimi, miso soup and watermelon. It is really really filling.The food was really fresh and the each portion of noodle and rice were not small at all. I particularly enjoyed dipping the soba into the soba sauce and slurping every bit of cold noodles. The katsu don had generous toppings of pork cutlet and egg, in fact, I was surprised that the pork cutlets served were quite huge. I had trouble finishing one set meal alone, so do drop by if you are really hungry. They serve a variety of set meals and it was difficult to choose which one to order. The suntec outlet specializes in soba, they have a specialty kitchen where you can watch your soba noodles being made on the spot.
