It was my first time here and I didn’t know what to expect. I went to the counter by the entrance and the friendly waitress showed me to a table and handed me the menu. I waved to the waitress and she came over to took my orders. Where can earth can you find such table service compared to those fast food joints out there? So I ordered a Half Spring Chicken Set ($5.50). The set doesn’t include any drinks and it’s what you see served on the plate. A small serving of coleslaw, small serving of
The outside skin looks very nicely fried, crispy and golden brown. I peeled off some of the skin and took a bite of it. There’s some taste of herbs being marinated by the chicken. After tasting the skin, I went deeper into the meat. It’s very juicy and very oily as well. The oil can be seen sizzling and smoke coming out from it. It’s real burning hot in there. However, the meat of the chicken is fried just nice.
Overall, the chicken taste alright but it's as oily as those at KFC. The oil tasted stale which caused my stomach to upset. Try it at your own risk.
