I was very excited to check out this cafe and was looking forward to try their weekend brunch! My friends & I arrived around 2 plus pm and by the time we settled down and wanted to order, the staff at the counter told us that the kitchen is close and all they had were cakes! I was very disappointed as I felt like I needed something savoury before sweet. The Fabulous Baker Boy is situated at the foot of Fort Canning Park at River Valley, opposite liang court. It's a 5-10 mins walk from the bus
The Fabulous Baker Boy is situated at the foot of Fort Canning Park at River Valley, opposite liang court. It's a 5-10 mins walk from the bus stop. As we took so much trouble to come here, it was raining etc, we decided to share two cakes and go somewhere else to have brunch.
We ordered the red velvet and carrot cake, both cakes were good but when compared with one another, the carrot cake stands out! I guess the addition of cranberry and coconut makes it especially good! We felt like we can eat another of it! The red velvet cake, coated with chocolate instead of cream cheese, is so full of flavour, worth a try as well!
