It was on a Friday night and I had brought my dinner partner along to try out the food at Porn’s. To my surprise, the place was totally filled with the dinner crowd and there are some people waiting outside to be seated. I ordered one of my favourite Thai dishes, the Gan Keaw Wan (Thai Green Curry) – $10.90++. It was very flavoursome and the coconut milk used in it brought up the fragrance of the green curry. The curry is so good to just go along with the white rice ($1++/serving) but I find it a bit watery to my liking.
The texture of the chicken slices was succulent and tender. However, the slices of the egg plant were quite tough and will be great if cooked longer. Overall, this Thai green curry is just nice for those who can't take food which are too spicy. I'll be looking forward to try other authentic Thai dishes if I ever visit Porn's again.
