Bugis street area was famous for their steamboat.
We chanced upon this Bai Du Kao Rou which has china nationals as the main customers.

When we were there,we were the only Singaporeans in the restaurant.

The buffet was $22 on that day as we went during a holiday.
The stall assistant actually told us that on usual days it's about $18-$19.

It may not be a very comfortable place to dine in as it was really noisy & smoky but we could see that everyone is enjoying themselves.

Some stuff that I strongly recommend:

Their crabs & prawns!AMUST!!Dont be surprise to see people using their own hand to pick up the steamboat ingredients(esp the crabs as it's finish really fast!)
The place is not very hygenic.

The crabs are their hottest steamboat ingredients.
It's fresh & sweet.
You can see from the photo that the crabs look fresh & pretty.

They had their usual steamboat items.
My boyfriend love the mantou.
They had cooked items as well as non cooked items.
They had fruits as dessert.

I would go back again as it's really worth it for the price!Check out this place if you haven't gone there yet.

One thing that they should improve is the hygiene of the place & also more tongs should be provided so that the customers wouldnt need to use their hands to grab the crabs in fear that they cant get it even though basically, they'll refill the crab after awhile.
