I knew I had to check out this place when I salivate just looking at the pictures of pancakes on the web!! Met up with two of my good friends and off we headed to Strictly Pancakes! We got off at Bras Basah MRT, walked towards Hotel Rendezvous, make a right turn and walk down straight to a row of shop-houses. Among them lies Strictly Pancakes. Strictly Pancakes allows you to sort of DIY your own pancakes. First, you get to choose your stack size (Small Medium or Large). Second, you can choose the butter (Salted, Unsalted, Garlic & Herb, Rum & Raisin) to accompany your stack. Third, you can choose to top it off with Bacon, Scrambled Eggs etcetc at $2.50 each. They also offer two types of pancakes, savoury or sweet. There were many raves about the Garlic Buttered Prawns and Druggie pancakes! We ordered that and also the Chicken A La King pancakes. The Garlic Buttered Prawns and the Chicken A La King belong to the savoury section. The Garlic Buttered Prawns was served with prawns buttered generously with garlic and cherry tomato salad on the side. I couldn't understand at first how prawns could go well with pancakes but after trying this, I was literally blown away! It was sooooo gooood!!! The Chicken A La King really paled in comparison and there was nothing to mention about it. The druggie belonged to the sweet section and it was the bomb!! Being a hardcore fan of chocolate, I absolutely love The Druggie! It consist of three chocolate pancakes served with chocolate ice cream sprinkled with chocolate flakes and sliced strawberries topped off with their own homemade chocolate sauce. It was heavenly! I will most definitely be coming back for more!!
