To the chocolate lovers out there, do consider this.. at the dessert corner.Extremely rich and chocolatey.. the mousse holds firm throughout, not the type that will turn softer upon standing.Rather firm mouse which is equally rich in the chocolate flavour not like cream. The cala mari is VERY NICE!!!! Have to order if you are here. The wait is ard 5-7min which is very reasnable..Serving is not stingy.. we shared a serving amongst 6 people. We know Jumbo is known for their seafood.. but we decided to try a land creature today. We ordered venison stir fried with spring onion and ginger.Wow... lotsa 'wok flavour' - GOOD! The venison is so tender and flavourful. The gravy wasnt too watery, coats each piece nicely. In fact even the spring onions were cooked to perfection, not too cruchy (undercooked) nor disintegrated. Bought two pieces of different flavour for grams to try.And I must say the chocolate version is a huge let down. It doesnt taste any bit spectacular, in fact mediocre at best.It didn't bring out the sweetness from the sponge cake and it lacks that fragrance from the caramel and white cream - salted caramel version.In fact I think choc didn't make the sponge stand out, sponge taste normal, a little dense.Overall caramel clear winner…查看更多

It was a saturday and yes.. I had to wait in line for a starking 25min at vivocity. This cake was a real eye pleaser on the menu and on the plate. It's a rather big slice the wow factor in this cake is relly the plump alcohol soaked cherries.. and they aren't stingy with these I think I had a cool 3-4 cherries in a slice. This dish never fails.. it's a definitely a must have for every visit..Lets start with taste... very flavourful the exterior is sticky and crispy not soggy and soft.. even till the very last piece. It carries this tinge of citrusy flavour and the lychee just explodes with fragrance and juice when you bite into it. Gosh.. salivating now... The presentation is so-so not expecting much since it's rather common and the pic on the menu ain't too impressive.But boy... was I blown away.. I must admit.. the guy before me just ordered the remaining pork knuckle on the tray.. and we were told to wait for 1 hr for the next batch.. so if u see some on the tray.. Used to be very popular in the past... but the taste is not as good as before anymore. The skin is a lot thicker now and size of the gyoza also smaller. Size aside, the skin is thicker and less chewy. As for the filling, flavour is the same but there is a tinge of pork smell.. I dislike it.Commendable part is the sliced ginger.. The wait is dependant n the queue. The dishes to try here is definitely the stewed cabbage and pork chop!!The pork chop is very crispy it's not the meaty type, dunno how they do it..like a snack!!The cabbage is very nice... soft to the max! And when you eat it with the curry laden rice... oooooo... heavenly... Bear in mind, if there are any particular sauce you don't want you have to let them know before hand. Although the shop is known for their fishballs... I actually think there are nicer items there worth trying.Of which, you must try the bean curd skin wrapped fish paste and the bean curd (tau kua) with fish paste!yumzz... Their fish cake with vegetables and chili is also good.The fish cake is extremely juicy, with each bite if you are not careful, may drip or squirt out hehehe...Bean curd is very soft and has tinge of saltiness not the sort of beancurd with no seasoning.But for the health conscious... Honestly… looks good but taste wise.. quite a disappointment. Beer battered fish and chips was alright.. fish was juicy BUT…tooo OILY!!! gosh! They had rather tasty sides.. love the seaweed and sweet cuttlefish best but take note they only allow 2 rounds of sides and not free flow We ordered pork ribs and chicken. Ohhhh… the ribs were really really good. Well marinated and tender! It’s actually served up as a slab of meat with only 1 rib.. and not what I had feared most.. lots of bones and no meat.The chicken was also good. Our usual haunt... and the place we would go for ice cream!! Love their rustic decor...We tried a flavour we have never tried before – strawberry, rather refreshing taste.. and rather light. Good if you are tired of the strong flavours they are known for.And our perennial favourite!!! CHOC THERAPY!!! - never fai lto disappoint.We tried granola topping this time.. mmm…. nice crunchy crunchy… a pity.. the brownie is not as good as before.. It was hard, not moist and breaks off easily (was it stale?? ), It was also considerably thin… i remember it used to be more moist and thick. The first time I tried clam miso soup.. i mz say... its pretty addictive..Sweet and so fragrant.. n... NOT FISHY unlike most miso soup.We tried the soft shell crab roll (cz I only eat cooked food), rather meaty crab (GOOD) but..
