Me and bf popped by yakun for some drinks after our dinner. I ordered the hot milk tea while he had the cold barley. As usual, I am pleased with the hot tea as it tasted better than food court standard. However to our horror, my bf found some egg shell inside the barley. He spat it out and showed it to me! We didn't make any complaints as he was not uncomfortable with it. We decided to just pen down our thoughts here. We might consider our next visit to this outlet again. …查看更多

After a long night cycling with bf, we decided to take a break at Udders to treat ourselves with some awesome scoops. Despite its 'inconvenient' location (the need to walk quite a distance from the main road), it was still packed with many people at around 11pm. After some waiting, we were fortunate enough to get two seats. We ordered two scoops of ice cream, Lychee Martini and Snickers Vanilla flavour, together with waffles. The Snickers Vanilla was my bf's all time favourite as he loved the chewy snickers with nuts found within the vanilla ice cream. He finds it an awesome and delightf combination. Me and bf were looking for a dining place to dine at Ion Orchard for our late lunch. We heard so much from people's ravings on 4 Fingers' fried chicken and thus we decided to give it a try since the queue was shorter then expected. From the wide range of choices on the menu, we ordered the "Four Fingers Crispy Chicken in Soy Garlic Sauce". The food were served pretty fast and it came in a paper lunch box style. Much to our delight, the chicken, especially the skin, were flavourful due to the soy garlic sauce. It was well fried and the meat blended well with the sweet garlic sauce. After collected our (me and my bf) race packs at velocity for Pocari Run 2013, we decided to stop by Cedele for coffee at tea time. Bf waited for a good ten minutes at the counter before his order was taken. The service staffs at the counter were quite slow even though the cafe was not packed. After the order was taken, we waited for more than 5 minutes for the Hazelnut Latte. The drink looked wrong as there was no hazelnut fudge on it. Bf went to the counter to check the order and guess what? The barista took a sniff at the latte which was very unhygienic at its very best! We were totally disgusted by their service! The manager realized what was going on and decided to offer a complimentary iced chocolate mocha for us. The hazelnut latte tasted average and didn't have a strong brew of coffee taste. I had a short walk to Nonna Linna from Tanjong Pagar mrt. Friend recommended this place for her birthday dinner as it is just below her workplace. I ordered the veal dish that comes with mashed potato and olive oil. This dish was quite a huge portion and it came with some toasted bread. On the other hand, my friends ordered squid ink spaghetti, sea urchin pasta, risotto and crab meat spaghetti. We had a red wine (Chianti Classico) to pair with our food. It doesn't taste too dry and went well with my veal. For desserts, we had panna cotta and tiramisu. I would strongly recommend the panna cotta as it is almost the best of all that I've ever eaten. Looking through the finest selection of bakery on display, we decided on their Specialty Ham & Cheese Bun, Chocolate Almond Croissant and the widely acclaimed Caramelized Salted Butter Croissant! The Specialty Bun was pretty filling, served with a sumptuous vegatables and tasty ham topped it off with cheese. The Chocolate Almond Croissant was my favourite as the crispy crush on the outside and the chocolate inside makes it very nice. The Caramelized Salted Butter Croissant blends the sweetness of caramel and the butter very well, leaving sugary salted aftertaste. Definitely one of the best bakery in town now!…查看更多

It was my 2nd visit of the year to the starbucks at raffles city. During the first visit, there was a live music sang by Natalie Hiong as she was promoting her latest singles album. It was quite an awesome place to chill out when there were so much activities going on. On my 2nd visit here, I bought a cafe latte while waiting for the 'launch' time (12am) for buying the hello kitty at the mcdonalds beside starbucks. It was a perfect brunch date at Hatched on a sunny saturday. I ordered the Papillote (smoked salmon folded over scrambled eggs with chive cream with toast and potatoes with caramelized onions) with an ice latte. The smoked salmon was sliced too thin and the scrambled eggs seemed like "home cooked" standard. But in overall, it tasted not that bad. Knowing that my friends were going to be late for another 1 hour, I walked around star vista, hoping to find a place with available seats during the peak dinner hour. Luckily, i found this gem which was tucked quietly at a corner of Star Vista. I ordered a chai tea latte and a small slice of lemon yogurt loaf. I recommended my ex colleagues to pop by switch after work as i find this place a good chillax place for catching up. 3 of us ordered 2 pizzas, chicken wings and beers. For the skinny pizzas, we had hawaiian bbq and roasted duck. The portion was slightly too much for 3 of us for supper but we tried our best to finish everything. The chicken drumlets and wings were quite tough. But that's beside the point. Another reason for coming to switch is for the live music sang by talented inspiring singers. It was my first visit to Brotzeit and 2 of us ordered the sausage platter which comes with spicy chicken sausages, Nürnberger sausages, pork cheese sausages, Weisswurst and garlic pork sausage and sauerkraut. I thought it might be better if a sunny side up is added (like the rosti in marche). If I'm not wrong, the soup is pumpkin flavoured. We sat at the outdoor area as there were no more seats indoors. Being a fan of awfully chocolate's ice cream, I have never fail to get a scoop whenever I patronize the store. However, I wanted to try something else this time round and i ordered the creme brulee. To my utmost disappointment, it tasted quite bad. I have expected the custard to be covered with a thin layer of sugar crust but there was none. This cafe replaced the old haagen daz outlet which was tucked at a quiet corner of Jurong Point. My colleagues and I decided to pop by this place during lunch time to try it out. Colleague ordered a unique dish which I've never try before. Its deep fried glass noodle wrapped with seaweed skin and it tasted not bad. I ordered a teriyaki chicken rice set that came with 4 super spicy side dish. I am not a pro in eating spicy stuff, thus i would not recommend this dish to people who can't take spicy food. …查看更多

Me and friends were looking for a cosy place to settle in after dinner and we chanced upon this place while walking along tanjong pagar. The waiter recommended its tiramisu and commented that it is being reviewed as the 'best tiramisu' in Singapore. Well, let's see how true is that. :) We went ahead to order the highly recommended tiramisu and a strawberry cheese sponge. Each of us also ordered its specialty twilling tea which comes with a wide range of choices like Lemon Twist, Peppermint, Camomile, Earl Grey, etc. Ironically, the 'best tiramisu' was the last dish to be served because the waiter forgot about it. I am quite happy that there is finally a hong kong cafe at Jurong Point. However, I'm quite disturbed by its menu because the dishes are only shown in pure text (english and chinese characters) and not pictures. Thus, one has to spend some time to scan through the whole menu. My usual order for drink is the HK milk tea. It tastes rich in flavour and its comparable to yakun's milk tea. For the main dish, I ordered chicken chop cheese baked rice and it tastes pretty average. But, i would recommend its skewer dishes like meatballs, etc. It is available upon order near the cashier. …查看更多
