Googled for a good place to have dinner at the bustling Orchard Road. Saw good reviews about the cafe and decided to head there to give it a try...And my verdict was: Superb fries and environment, good getaway from the crowded shopping area of OrchardOrdered the following dishtop-down order) Truffle fries, smoked salmon pizza, granchioThe cafe food portion is generous enough for big-eaters. For 2 of us, I guess we ordered slightly too much as the mains were too much for us. The Granchio pasta was great. Simply better than all the pasta that I have tried at other cafes or restaurant chains. Smoked salmon pizza: The salmon slices are fresh and succulent. It was a rainy Friday afternoon. Continued with our plans to dine at the cafe hidden in Bishan Park. Having been there it was indeed a jem at the North. When we reached the cafe, we were quite surprised that there were quite a lot of diners despite the rain. The rain did not dampen our moods for good food.Ambience of the cafe: Relax, chilledDecor of the cafe: Rustic feel (Brick wall, concrete floorings and some metal strucutures, matched with black, white and wooden furniture)Ordered our meals:-As you can see, our burgers are placed on the wooden squarish plate, fries are contained in the mug. Dining on a ship!!! A totally new experience for me. Went on a late afternoon and board the Stewords Riverboat. It is conveniently located right beside the newly opened Marina South Pier NS line MRT Station. Sheltered all the way to the ship... Took pictures just before the sky turned dark.. Moving on the food which all of us are waiting for... Christmas comes early on board Stewords Riverboat. Each diner can choose a main course from the menu. And this is what we choose:-The restaurant offers a semi-buffet counter which consists of soup, breads and the following yummylicious food:-There's a live band performing while diners are enjoying their food with an occasional rock as what we expect on board a ship..Overall, the experience is great. McDonald has always been my all-time favourite fast food restaurant since young. Ordered Big Breakfast set meal and change my drink to warm Milo The hash brown is fried till it is golden crispy. Nice! Scrambled egg, the portion is just right. Added on salt and pepper to enhance the taste. The muffins, I add grape jam to it and eat them separately. There is meat patty too. The Korean wave is quite popular in Singapore. Beancurd soup with lots of vege and mushroom in it. Good taste There are 6 different side dishes served too, kimchi, ikan billis, peanut, cucumber, coleslaw and one cold tofu. Saba fish with their special sauce. Loves Japanese food. Want to eat it at reasonable price. Head over to Ishi Mura Food Court at Northpoint Top floor right now. Prawn garlic rice. Their serving is quite large and prawns are quite a lot. A sunny side up egg is included inside the hot stone pot too. We have to mix it ourselve to enhance the taste. Pontian Wan Ton Noodles has opened quite a lot of outlets in different shopping malls, food courts and even hawker centre. I believe most of us have already notice this brand and the wanton noodles is indeed a notch above the others. 2 different set meals ordered for lunch.It comes with green bean soup as dessert, wanton soup (with 2 wrapped wanton inside) and the noodles. EAT is a common eating place for me as it is near to the MRT at Boon Lay. It is located at the exterior of Jurong Point and it is kind of a cafe style. All self service with cleaners to clean up the bowls after diners have their meals. Good place for families as the chairs are movable. I always ordered the Fish Ball Noodle set which includes the thin noodles, fried wanton, fish ball and some meat in it mixed with tomato sauce. Served warm which is a plus point of this cafe. First time visiting Sushi Express. Always see a long queue outside the restaurant, their sushi are at $1.50 per plate. For all variety. Bought chocolate lava cake from Chocolate Origin. It is located at a prominent area near the seating areas. You cant miss it. Warm chocolate flows out of the cake as you have the first bite. Claypot rice served in authentic claypot bowl. It was really fragrant, but the chicken pieces were rather little. The serving of the claypot rice is small as compared to other food court. Worth giving it a try.Fried mee tai mak which has a little bit too much black sauce. During dinner time, it is rather packed and hard to get seats. First time going to Astons at Centrepoint. It has a salad bar within it. Great! This is what I have gotten from the salad bar. Warm baby carrots, cheery tomatoes, cool cucumbers and fusilli pasta All my favourite <3 There are other warm side dishes at the counter too. E.g. 4 different typed of soups (minestrone soup, onion soup), potato wedges, onion rings...My main course, ordered pork chop with french fries. Shopping around at Marina Square and had Pu Tien for lunch. We had vouchers from the previous Mother's Day meal at Pu Tien. 2 vouchers were used for our lunch.It was a complimentary Pu Tien Signature Bee Hoon with seafood. Oh my, the bee hoon is certainly much better than the ones we had from the coffee shop. The bee hoon has been much thinner as compared to the norm. It includes 3 prawns, 2 lalas, some vege and meat within it. However, it was rather bland without chilli. The La Ma (Pu Tien signature Chilli) was on the table for diners. A mixture of the chilli with the bee hoon. It was superb. We even bought back 2 bottles of chilli. Wrapped in cute box and paper bag which has La Ma Chilli imprinted on it. …查看更多
