Despite waiting for 15 minutes on a weekday (and for lunch, mind you), the food certainly worth the wait. We ordered creamy salmon spaghetti and spaghetti served with shredded duck meat. The creamy salmon spaghetti was very rich, cheesy, and creamy. Well, probably not the healthiest but who cares if it tasted great? The spaghetti was served with shredded duck meat. This one was spicy but didn't overpower the overall taste of the dish. It was fragrant and the herb mixture was awesome. For more food pics, follow me on Instagram @zanthrea…

I love the interior of this restaurant. With wooden cart, antique barber chair, and plaster wall, they certainly add some rustic charms to the restaurant. We ordered red snapper with prawns in creamy saffron sauce. The red snapper was perfectly cooked and the skin was crispy. The prawns on the other hand were overcooked and very difficult for me to deshelled them. I didn't like the cream sauce splashing to my white top while struggling to deshell them :(. The cream sauce was excellent though, buttery and creamy but still light....The beef bourguignon wasn't that good. The red wine sauce reduction didn't taste good and the meat was still a bit tough with so much fat on the meat. Definitey not to my liking.Overall, I find that the price was a bit pricey (around $40 for the main courses).…

Nestled around the vicinity of Little India, this cafe occupies the ground floor of Kam Leng Hotel. The cafe itself is quite small, but cosy, with a bar at one of the corners. They have different menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We ordered Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich, Poached Eggs with Spinach and Potato Cakes, and the Suprette Burger. My first impression was that the portion was huge! The Chicken Parmigiana Sandwich filling was very fulfilling and tasty. The french fries was perfectly fried and not too salty. The Poached Eggs with Spinach and Potato Cakes was mediocre, nothing special about it. It was served with slices of toast and bacon streaks. Again the portion for this Suprette Burger was huge. The patty was fresh and juicy, combined with the melted cheese, making it the perfect burger. …

When I first stepped into this cafe, I felt like I was inside a tree house. The decor dominates by the wooden features which include a tree in the middle of the room and quirky fridge on one side. The cafe is cosy and it's a great place to hang out.One thing quite unique about this place is that they change the menu every fortnightly. So everytime you visit, you might find something different on their menu.We ordered two dishes; beef sandwich and beef burger. The beef sandwich was actually served in burger style with chunks of beef in the middle and taco chips on the side. The beef was tough and it was quite difficult to bite. On the other hand, the beef burger was delicious. The patty was fresh and we could tell that it was hand-made. The patty was juicy and flavourful. The highlight of the night was their pies. I tried the chocolate mousse pie with marshmellow on top of it. The pie was nice and it wasn't too sweet either. With their menu changing every two weeks, perhaps I'd go back to this little cosy cafe again...…

It was full house when we visited Chicken Up the other day. The staff was attentive and quickly told us to wait. After a while we got our table. We ordered Nyang Nyum Chicken (Sweet and Spicy Chicken), Pajeon (Vegetable Pancake), Jjangmyon (Black Bean Sauce Noodle), and not to forget their signature Watermelon Soju. The chicken was delicious. It was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The sweet and spicy glaze was pretty nice too. The spiciness was mild, just the way I like it. The pancake was nice, and wasn't oily at all. The one dish I didn't like was the noodles. I find it pretty bland with no seasoning at all. The watermelon soju was definitely the highlight of my dinner. It was cooling and refreshing without being too overpowering. They mixed the soju in a bowl of carved watermelon topped with some ice cubes. …

We came here for lunch and there was not much crowd. No wonder this restaurant has rave reviews. The food is so tasty. We ordered the mini portion of aglio olio (turned out very small!), tomato bruschetta, ravioli, and avocado torte for the dessert. The tomato bruschetta was very nice. I really like the balance of the flavours and it had different layers of taste; sweet, salty, and sour on the first bite and the fragrant taste from the olive oil kicked in. The baguette was toasted very well too, it was crunchy and soft. The aglio olio was unlike the normal, boring one, but it was tossed in chili oil and fragrant garlic slices and mixed with some kind of soy sauce. This dish is definitely a must-try! I regret that I ordered the mini one and not the full portion. There's nothing much to comment about the ravioli. It's pretty decent, but nothing special about it.The Torte with Avocado Gelato was kinda disappointing. They so-called 'torte' is nothing but a thin layer of dense cake at the bottom. Alas! The gelato wasn't nice either. It was just like eating whipped cream with bland frozen ice. Definitely needs some improvements. Overall, I'm very satisfied with the food and the service of this restaurant. I will definitely come back for more!…

I came here with a group of friends during the lunch hours on Saturday. We ordered "Finger-O-Fish" and "Sausage and Fries Fest". I was appalled by their lousy service. When we asked how long more we had to wait, the waiter replied "Sorry, we're preparing your order as we have a lot of orders from the other table." Shouldn't you add more kitchen staff during peak hours to solve this problem rather than giving those excuses to your customers? We waited one good hour for the food (yes, one hour!). And when I asked a teaspoon to stir my latte, the waiter replied "Don't you have it on the plate?" I was like "Duh!" If I had it, I wouldn't have asked you for it, right? When the food was served, it looked nice. But I was wrong. It tasted horrible. The fish burger patty was dry, bland. The truffle fries was cooked in a burnt oil leaving bitter taste on my mouth. The sausage platter wasn't any different. We were overwhelmed by the saltiness of the curly fries. Definitely wouldn't come back here!…

Although Seoul Yummy is not the best Korean restaurant in town, it certainly has loyal fans as it's always crowded. Perhaps because of their centralized locations and Korean theme interior, most of the patrons are teenagers and young adults. We ordered Army's Stew (Buddae Jjigae) for two pax which included the stew, two rice, dessert and two drinks. It was served with beef, pork, tofu, tteokbokki, mushrooms and noodles. The kimchi-based broth wasn't as original as those in Korea. I've been here on couple of occassions and I find that the food was mediocre. But if you crave for Korean food and can't get the best one, you might want to settle for the second or even third best.As for the dessert, we chose Yogurt with Jellies. This dessert was amazing! The soft serve yogurt was accompanied with jellies, mango, and kiwi slices, on top of shaved ice. Love the balance between the sour yogurt and the sweet jellies. …

I was expecting a long queue since it's a new establishment but there were only few people ahead of us. We ordered their set lunch menu which included mini ramen, side dish, and dessert. For the ramen, we chose Chabuton Shio Ramen and Chabuton Signature Tonkotsu Ramen.I personally think that their Shio ramen broth was tastier than their signature tonkotsu ramen. The broth was light and not oily. The noodle was cooked nicely, not too soft and not too hard. For the side dish, you can choose between tori kaarage, gyoza, and potato croquette. The dish we ordered were gyoza and croquette. They were pretty tasty. For the dessert One thing I need to compliment was their wonderful service. The servers were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. It's something we seldom see in Singapore. Kudos!…

Bye bye MOS burger... Hi SIFU! This newly opened restaurant serves Cantonese dishes. The dish I ordered was rice noodles topped with fish cakes and the other one was topped with prawn rolls. There were two options to choose from; rice noodles and hor fun. The broth itself was bland but the fish cakes were pretty tasty. If you eat a lot, perhaps you should order more side dishes as the noodle portions were very small. The must-try side dish were the prawn toasts. They were crispy and tasty. …

One thing good about this cafe is the service. The staff are friendly and helpful. We ordered two dishes (carbonara and aglio olio). The aglio olio was bland, there was not enough seasoning. All I could taste was the spicy taste from the chili. Worse than the aglio olio was this spaghetti carbonara. It had "porky" smell to it as the fat wasn't rendered properly. Give it a miss! The highlight of our dinner was this red velvet waffle. It was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Topped with ice cream, it was perfect. Perhaps, one of the best waffles in town! I'll be back for their desserts, but not for their main courses. …

I had to come back here cos it was full house the other day and didn't get a chance to try this. The first time I came, I had to wait outside without any staff greeting us. After few minutes, some patrons in front of us told us that we need to go to the counter and put our name on the list in which they would call us if there was table available. Looking at the queue (5 groups ahead of us), we decided to go somewhere else and I didn't receive any call from them that night. Lucky that we decided not to wait. So, I came back for lunch this time. There were many people queueing the other night and so I thought it had to be good. There was no queue during lunch time though. They serve 4 different flavours: sweet, soy, spicy, and original. Set lunch I ate was served with seaweed rice and kimchi. The batter was crispy and the rice had a unique texture to it. But the kimchi was too acidic.…
