Love the yong tau foo here, wish that they give more noodles though, the noddles were deliciously flavourful but I ate all of them in like 4 or 5 spoonfuls? Noodles were springy and nice, the fishball, taufoo etc were pretty god as well. But the noodles were the star. Heard a lot about the chicken rice at katong shopping centre and it indeed did not disappoint at all. Rice was fluffy and fragrant and chicken was flavourful as well, topped with crispy garlic bits. there is even free serving of soup of the day and achar! Only complaint was that it was quite oily and we were feeling quite sinful and overwhelmed after the meal. Restaurant was surprisingly quite packed on a weekday afternoon, even had to queue for about 15 minutes before getting a seat. Had to try a few times a get the attention of the wait staff. Ordered the souffle pancake with the slurpee vanilla ice cream to go with it. Pancake was pretty moist and the ice cream goes really well with it. Awesome zi char place that is very accessible (just outside Aljunied mrt) and yummy. Best to go in a group so you can order a variety of dishes to try. Its assam laksa/assam curry fish head is probably the star item there as many tables were seen ordering it. Really love the assam fish head, aromatic and tantalizing kick to the taste buds, fish itself was good as well. Salted egg calamari was good as well, you cannot go wrong with salted egg anything. Timbre substation is my favourite place to chill on Friday nights/weekends. Love the band 53A on friday nights! Love the buffalo wings, roasted duck pizza and philly cheesesteak pizza! Best to go early as the queues would be snaking long around 9pm-10pm and you will have to wait for at least an hour before getting seated. Band will usually stop playing around 130am so good for night owls out there. Other than that, I would go back simply just for the pizza!…查看更多

Love anything green tea hence the green tea frapp is my to-go drink when I am at Starbucks. Will always request for more whipped cream as well, you will have to go big or go home. A must-order item item for me when I am at mcdonalds would be its corn cup! Although it has been on the menu for quite a long time, I only tried it a few months ago and have been ordering it ever since. The corn is served warm and they will provide you with a cube of butter to mix in together with the corn. Lao ban beancurd needs no introduction, the queues seems to have died down recently though. The beancurd is really soft and will instantly melt in your mouth once eaten, really addictive and enjoyable. Tried the soya bean drink a few months ago as I have never tried it from the stall before, have always just purchased the beancurd itself. The soya bean drink was nothing spectacular, was even a wee bit too sweet for me. Will skip this next time and go for the beancurd instead.…查看更多

Decided to try out spizza one day as were unsure of what to eat and were lazy to head out for dinner. Instead of the usual sarpinos/dominos pizza we usually order, we decided to be adventurous and try Spizza. It was more expensive than the usual 1 for 1 offers other pizza places offer but the taste trumps the rest. Weirdly enough, their pizza names are all named after Women names like Sofia, Ursula etc, Had the seafood pizza (Sofia) and Anna (Mushroom bolognese flavour) and we really liked it! Sushi tei is one of my top places to for lunch as I really like the environment and most importantly, the food there. One does not simply visit Sushi tei without ordering its star item, the dragon roll. Deep fried king prawn and avocado slices, whats not to like? Headed over to Ambush for Lunch at plaza sing, Had the seafood paella with marinara sauce. Was okay, prices were also pretty reasonable as well. Friends had the spaghetti in basil sauce and pan-fried salmon and it was pretty good, they were generous with the serving of the huge fillet of salmon. One of the many gems in the east, one of the few places in Singapore with $2 Mee soto, mee rebus etc. I will always order the mee soto when i am there, the owners are super generous with their servings with huge chunks of chicken meat and noddles. Dont forget to have their spicy chilli and mix in with the soup for the ultimate mee soto experience. Queues are always forming but it goes quite fast so no problem with that.…查看更多

Whenever I am tasked to buy a birthday cake, my top 2 choices would be Four Leaves Choco Exotic/Strawberry shortcake or Chocolate Origin Chocolate cake. Albeit expensive, the chocolate origin cake is really really luscious and thick. Chocolate lovers definitely have to try this. Another star item is the lava cake topped with vanilla ice cream which comes in a cup. Really affordable at $6 if i am not wrong. Awfully chocolate star item to me would be its hei ice cream. Thick and luscious spoonfuls of chocolate ice cream that is velvety and full of chocolatey taste. Best to share as it may get rather jelat and sinful after a few spoons Would never fail to get a scoop or two of it when I am at Ion. Prices are also affordable as well. Been to Saveur twice, once at Purvis street and the other time at FEP. For both times, we had to wait for close to an hour. Overall, although the place has been overhyped, i still feel that the food is really good and worth every penny, the prices are really too attractive. As we had a rather big group the first time we went, we ordered almost every item from the menu. The stand out dishes for me were the angel hair pasta with sakura shrimps, duck confit and beef bourguignon. Really love the potatoes that were accompanying the beef, ordered several additional servings of that to share. Would patronize them more if the queues were shorter/non peak periods.…查看更多
