Didn't know Hiang Ji Roasted meat & Noodle House is kind of 'Famous' store at Toa Payoh.As my friend and I were there by chance and decided to settle our dinner at toa payoh, it was around 8pm when we patronised so there isn't crowd or I would say hmm no people there actually. The duck meat tasted really good however the price is abit too pricey i feel. I like to patronise the pasta mania here as it was not really crowded during lunch time. The services by the staff is good as order was taken efficiently.However, the only bad point about the store here is the serving time which seem to be taking abit too long as compared to other pastamania outlet stores. Sometimes, i can wait for my friend's food till my food is cold no joke.Thus, apart from the waiting time for food. The rest is ok. Had a frenchy morning at Lot One Shoppers' Mall - Ya Kun outlet. I always love to patron this stalls as the aunties there are very friendly, at the same times, fast and efficient ;)There are at least 3 person there to serve the queue and their smiles will always make my day.As my French toast is freshly toasted and served 'HOT', I was even warned about the hotness when the toast was passed to me. Is Tong Heng EGG TARTTTTTT Like a finally since I always saw my friend posted Tong Heng Egg Tart's images on Instagram it always make my lunch appetite get bigger but not be able to satisfy the egg tart craving.Hence, I am so excited to come buy Tong Heng egg tart since I past by Chinatown. I ate one on the spot and packed another 5 more to bring home and enjoy! At Tong Heng, there are 2 types of egg tarts: the traditional ones and the coconut ones, I am not a fan of coconut thus I only bought one coconut egg tart back to try. Apart from the egg tarts, I have also bought the icing shortcake with lotus paste for my family. What I would say is that, Tong Heng is really good for their eggtarts. As the icing shortcake is too sweet for me ><. And the lotus paste is those hard type rather than the soft type we ate in lotus bun. Thus, i dont recommend the icing shortcake for first timer like me. Or it could also be due to that I have expect too much from Tong Heng.But overall, you should really try the traditional type of Tong Heng eggtart. It is really delicious as it seen! ordered the meat floss fried egg rice set that comes with a few stalk of vegetables at xin wang ! The fried egg is very different from the usual fried egg i seen and tasted. So i strongly recommend one should try the fried egg at xin wang ! The floss is always nice as usual ! Dip the floss with the sauce and eat together with the egg and rice ! i hv been passing by shokudo quite a lot times thinking that it is a buffet restaurant , but thanks to openrice! After a search, i realised thaat shokudo is a ala carte restaurant instead of buffet style. Bought this layer fried egg with mayo and cuttlefish flakes on top. yum yum! Bought my dad's favourite pandan cale at bengawan solo. Our family always buy cakes from bengawan dur to its freshness and tradition taste. The pandan cake is not too sweet which ny father fancy upon it and the best of is that is has no cream !!! Not to count the little tiny portion of line creams ... I like the salmon rosti ordered at marche ,the grilled salmon is served in generous portion and the rosti is very crispy especially when it is little overcooked. I feel that the price is quite reasonable given the portion i was being served. Have family gathering here at Crystal Jade, and we ordered a lot of dishes such as scallop cauliflowers. claypot doufu. Char kway teow and many more. But among these many dishes, the dishes i like most and i do recommend one to try is their roasted duck :-) . the roaasted duck skin is very crispy and i could taste the nice roasted smell. Bought the Obolo chocolate cake with two little Macarons on top Like the simplicity design of the two macarons as decoration. just nice and neat. Obolo sells many different macarons and even bittersweet macaron for dessert lovers who do like their dessert to be too sweet , like me!
