I am surprised this Star Bucks has not been reviewed yet. This is easily one of the busiest stores at Orchard road. They are always recruiting more staff for this outlet.And it's also one of the hardest places to find a place to sit. Most of the sofa chairs are monopolised by people with their laptops and will sit there for hours staring into the screen, while they charge their laptops. Not very nice.Well you can choose to sit outside but you will be exposed to cigerrate smoke and humid heat - what's the point.As usual I will order my Mango Passion Fruit Ice-Blended juice drink. I was here with my mum. This restaurant is located at Tanjong Pagar and just recently opened at October last year.Once you enter the place, what strikes you first is that you see a stage with the usual mic and stand setup, and you wonder what is that for.As it turns out Ai-Mien Bar caters to the expatriate drinking crowd at night, where there's either live singing performances or magic show depending on which day of the week. That's why it's called the Bar.Going on to the food.We ordered their specialty "Cold Noodles", it's white noodles served cold, with carrots, veges and a special sauce, which tasted to me like peanut sauce with some chocolate caramel added in?So yes it's a sweet sauce and not the salty type which most people are used to. My mum was in the area nearby for a medical appointment and upon hearing a recommendation from a old resident in the area, she decided to order takeaway from this stall, and there was a long queue.I query her on the location and realized its from this stall!She brought it home and I have a chance to sample the chicken rice.I have tried the chicken rice and the chicken is only so-so, quite ordinary. However, the rice is not oily at all and it's not lumped together, meaning it's well-separated, giving it a nice texture as you chew and swallow.I think it's worth a try if you are in the area. :)…查看更多

I was at Meidi-Ya supermarket after having buffet dinner at Suan Thai, haha, and I happened to walk past Meidi Ya Four leaves. Whenever, I pass by this store, I cannot resist walking in to take a look. And then a new flavour bun caught my eye, it's the apple and cheese bun, dusted with sugar powder - cannot resist trying a new bun. It's soft and creamy, one bite and you are addicted. As mentioned previously in my review of MOS burger at Bukit Panjang, I like the milk tea there, so I have gotten myself one while I was at Bukit Batok while visiting my best friend.I dunno how they do it but the milk tea when compared with the normal coffee creamer, tastes very good and clean. I have tried Gong Cha at Orchard Central, and it cannot humble to this humble milk tea, but I did notice they costs about the same. haha. I was here with my friends after a night of partying. This stall is no longer Lau Pa Sat, it's now called Wang Li Deli, a stall which sells Nasi Lemak and Economic Bee Hoon.I have a chance to sample my friend's Nasi Lemak and I think I will not patronize this stall again.The chicken wing is tough and cold, obviously it was fried in the morning and they were still serving it at night, the rice limp and almost tasteless, and the otah, yikes, factory made and taste overwhelmingly of the flour they have mixed in with the otah.Thumbs down.…查看更多

I was here last friday and stall no. 49 is NOT Ah Hai Porridge and Seafood soup, it's a stall selling Mee Pok, Fishball noodles etc.I have the chance to sample this noodle and I am must say I am not impress! The chili is so so and the noodles ok only.My friend like the noodles with the chili but I just not convinced that it's worth a 2nd tasting. I was here while visiting my friends and this is actually the first time I have the chance to try Quiznos and I wished I have done it sooner.My friend suggested that I try the Zesty Beef Steak sandwich and I must say that it taste really GOOD!Even though they have condiments for you so you can add honey mustard and also pickles and onions, I didn't find the need to, because the sandwich is good already on its own.It cost $6.90 for one and not cheap but I believe its worth it for the quality! :)…查看更多

I was here last week after some partying at the nearby Red Dot Museum, and feeling famished, me and my friends, decided to go to to the nearby Maxwell Food Center to eat something.After eating Nasi Lemak and Mee Pok dry, we bought some sugar can drinks from this stall. Initially I am very skeptical of this place. I heard of the long queues at the Bugis Junction branch and the business at Tanglin wasn't too bad. And the jingles and the radio segments, until I try it three weeks ago and I must I am IMPRESSED!I don't know how they marinade the chicken but it tastes so good. Especially with the Peri Peri sauce, it's even better!And I really like the Natas and Bolo bread too. Nobody this place is always so crowded! I live around here so I hang around Bukit Panjang very very often. :)Whenever I am in Long John Silver, I will order the combo set with chicken and fish, and always without fail, I find that the the chicken is always toooooo dry, and fish just niceee!And the shrimp is always nice.Frankly I feel that LJS breakfast is under-rated, I always like the thick toast with egg and chicken. Courtesy of discount sites, I have the chance to try many types of food and new places, all at half price! And so I found myself here at Summer Frost. Their mainstay is of course their snow ice. They have snow ice concoctions of green tea, rose, mango, and many others. If you don't like what they have on offer, you can customize your own, with evaporated milk, choice of fruit toppings, types of flavor of snow ice you like.My companion don't quite like that this snow ice is more milk based than syrup base. Many a times, I just walked by without noticing this shop but one day my friend point it out to me, and said that I should try Dessert Story, he has tried the mango shaved ice before at another branch and he liked it.So both of us and sat down, it can be quite busy, and we did wait for a corner table so we can sit next to the water feature.When my mango shaved snow ice arrived, it's very similar to the dessert stall at Chinatown, wavy crystal like snow ice.
