Town restaurant is a very big restaurant that offers very extensive buffet spread! Quality of food here were mostly quite good and Service was great as well. Nothing to complain actually. The prices are very reasonable for the buffet spread!Roasted Duck Open Sandwich: Delicious bite-size tender roasted duck sit on a crispy toast that u have to try!! STREET 50 Restaurant & Bar serves hotpot on every Fri, Sat and Sun night too! What makes the hotpot here so special?The hotpot here is served up in individual pots with unique designs of little dragons blanket in a sharp shade of royal blue and royal yellow. The pot was quite shallow so the broth needs to be refilled regularly.Service was very good! Plates were cleared and ice-water were refilled promptly but do understand sometimes the service will be a bit slow when the place is crowded.The food selection was simple and nice. I must say so far this place has the best soup after trying at different popular steamboat restaurants!With Leeks, Cucumbers & Hoisin Sauce. I really love their smoked peking duck roll here, the sauce was generous and the smoked duck was very very tasty!! Besides the premium soup, I think this is another attraction to come here.This is their popular dessert here - Durian Pengat! (My Additional Ala Carte Order, Not Included In the Buffet) Luscious durian pulp cocooned in crepe laced with liquid gula Melaka. LeVeL33 is the World's Highest Urban Craft-brewery restaurant, one can experience an exceptional dining experience complete with the best view of Singapore's Marina Bay and city skyline. The main course were quite good. The dessert buffet tasted decent but the selection was boring.. Hope to see some improvement in the dessert buffet!Weekday Semi-Lunch Buffet: $33++ per person. (Semi buffet of appetizers and desserts with a choice of Main Course ordered) Tempura of dory fillet, fat cut chips, crushed peas and sauce tartare. I like the super curved up shape of their fish & chips, very presentable! The tempura dory fillet was extremely tender inside and crispy outside but the overall taste was a tad bland . The fat cut chips was decent. This main course is very popular here!Salmon & cod potato cake, buttered spinach, lemon beurre blanc and tomato caraway relish. Did not expect this to taste good.. As I'm a super dessert lover, so I have high expectations on dessert. Sad to say the quality of the dessert here did not impress me, they were mostly decent. There're only 2 revolving restaurants in Singapore. Tong Le Private Dining is one of only two restaurants in Singapore offering the fabulous dining experience in a revolving tower, diners could complete a panoramic tour of the Marina Bay area within two short hours.Something different about this restaurant - They don't serve ala carte menu. Their menu offers a variation of prefixed menus that changes every 2 weeks. This is good as the chances that you get to eat the same food items is very slim if you dine there a few times in a year.Braised Cave Bird's Nest with Bamboo Fungus, Crab Meat & Roe:The presentation was superb, with the soup served in a bowl atop a burner. This made the whole bowl look really big, indeed the serving of the soup was generous and that certainly improved my appetite! The soup was full of flavour with generous portions of the bird's nest in the middle! The burner kept the soup hot and bubbling throughout! Yummy!!!Braised Fragrant Rice with Fish Maw & Foie Gras accompanied with Pan-Seared Hokkaido Scallop:This is one of the best scallop I've ever had!! The exterior was crispy and the moment you bite into it, the burst of fragrance from the scallop fills your palette!!! I really don't know how to describe it anymore.. It's really fantastic scallop!! But the rice itself was so-so... couldn't really taste the foie gras anywhere... This was an excellent Eggs Royale! The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, runny with very tasty smoked salmon and the hollandaise sauce was just nice. I've tried some places that the sauce was a little sour.. A Must-Order brekkie!Privé’s Ultimate Brekkie: 2 eggs (any style), I chose scrambled eggs. With a 6-inch chicken Frankfurter (Hotdog), maple-roasted bacon, roasted Roma tomato, sautéed button mushrooms, potato rosti and housemade wholemeal toast. I thought this was a little pricey for the quantity and quality. The scrambled eggs needs some improvements. It was a tad over-cooked, not melt-in-the mouth type. Chicken & Bacon Skewer: The chicken & bacon goes very well with each other and it's full of flavour!!! Definitely will excite your tastebuds! Must Try!Bouncy Benedict: I like the name that they created for this dish - Bouncy Benedict, instead of the usual boring names (Eggs Benedict). Omg this was the BEST brunch that I had in my life! Every single item here was perfect, except the rosti potato was a little too salty that day. The runny yolk inside the egg, their hollandaise sauce and their home-cured salmon were all melted in the mouth. It was nicely served on a Pizza board.. Jaan is an intimate, 40-seat restaurant dedicated to showcasing the finest in modern French cuisine in Singapore.55′ Rosemary Smoked Organic Egg - This was one of the most memorable dishes! The staff will pour the sous vide egg onto ratte potato espuma topped with chorizo iberico and crispy buckwheat. This was served in a little orb capped on top of some smoked rosemary. You could smell the waft of rosemary emanating through the gap... Wow, so much though must have been put in just for the presentation alone! The smoked organic egg was poached slowly for 55 minutes at 64 degrees celcius. The results were runny with silky texture... This was really too delicious!!!Choconuts Tart - The staff will add the chocolate espuma at the table, so that the foam doesn't go flat by the time it reaches us. Using tempered chocolate with different textures, served at different temperature here! Some chocolate was warm while some was cold, very innovative! Not forgetting the crumbly and buttery chocolate tart as well - A very unique chocolate dessert experience at Jaan!Mignardises (Petit Fours Platter) - This is the most impressive petit fours that I've seen! The platter consists of Rosemary scent of chocolate ice-cream lollipop, canelé and coconut marshmallow! A canelé is a small French pastry with a soft and tender custard center and a dark, thick caramelized crust. Other than the main course, everything else is "unlimited" servings.Service here was really good! The food and dessert quality was quite good, except the pizza and Tiramisu needs improvement.Roasted Barramundi Fish Fillet, Pumpkin & Sage Mash, Snow Peas Salad & Grain Mustard Sauce - My favourite dish! The meat was tender, the skin was crisp, and the natural taste of the fish was well brought out. A pity I feel that the pumpkin didn't really complement the fish that well. But that's just my own preference... Pumpkin lovers will still like this combination nonetheless.The pasta was excellent! For our choice of tagliatelle with mushroom and black truffle pesto, the pasta was the perfect consistency, and the chunky mushrooms were full of flavour, all emanating the wonderful smell of truffles! November 8 is a hipster cafe hidden in Thomson V Two Condominium building.I'm not sure about weekdays but during the weekends & public holidays, this cafe is always crowded and noisy within 30mins after they opened at 12pm. Do quickly place your order once you're seated as the waiting time for the food is around 30mins time! Their food & waffle quality were indeed 1 of the BEST among the cafes! So we gotta be a little more patient to wait for the nice food...Big Breakfast - Bacon, Gourmet Pork Sausage, Gourmet York Ham, Honey Ham, Tomato, Sautéed Mushroom & Roasted Potato served on Focaccia Bread with Scrambled Eggs.I must say all the combination here were great! Scrambled eggs were cooked to almost perfection (melted in the mouth) except it tasted a tad bland. Pork sausage was very peppery - I like! Focaccia Bread was soft & the rest of the items were very nice too. Nothing much to complain. A very filling & delightful breakfast!Thai Iced Tea Waffle - Waffle with Thai Iced Tea Gelato ice cream & homemade Gula Meleka Sauce. I'm not really a waffle fan but I must say - Wow, i was really impressed with their waffle when i had my first bite on it! It was slightly crisp at the outside but fluffy inside with very aromatic gula melaka sauce and icing sugar on it! We were here during the restaurant week. Overall the food and dessert here were decent, nothing to rave about. Service was good from the reception staff but not the server staff. If you just want to find a slightly better restaurant with adequate food at Raffles Place area, you can consider this place.So far I only enjoyed this starter the most: Pan-Seared ScallopsLove their scallops so much - Succulent and Crisp at the top!Pan-Seared Foie Gras - We thought the size of the foie gras will be something like the scallops above. So we were really amazed by the generous portion of foie gras given. Probably it's a little too much and too rich, so we gotta share the portion with each other.. Overall it was mediocre.Pan Seared Salmon - The salmon was cooked to perfection, very tender and the skin was crisp enough!Roasted Chicken Breast -  Was expecting the meat to be tough but surprisingly it was quite tender. Doubled-boiled Abalone Soup with Chicken & Ginseng Flower - Omg all the goodness can be found in this soup! Full-flavoured and the abalone was very tender too! The chicken was a tad tough so just focus on the abalone & the soup, 1 word to describe - Excellent Soup!Braised Hashima with Shredded Fish Maw, Dried Scallops & Golden Mushroom - This soup was a tad pale in comparison with the above abalone soup (Perhaps the abalone soup was too good) The broth was quite thick, tasty and full of ingredients. I think you will find this soup nice if you have not try their abalone soup.Stir-Fried Scallops with Savoury Sauce - The scallops were succulent and complemented well with the savoury sauce!Deep-Fried Grouper Fillet with Cereal - We usually had cereal with prawn or beancurd. So this is our first time having fish fillet with cereal. The combination was not bad, fillet was quite tender as well!Overall this place is definitely worth a visit as the ambience was very relaxing and the food quality was quite high except some areas need to improve on. And it's very rare to see chinese restaurant serves free flow of selected fruit juices for weekend brunch buffet..
