I have always tried the peanuts soup when ordering my bowl of Ah Balling dessert so for a change, I decided to order it with ginger soup instead. The ah balling ginger soup is surprisingly nice. The ginger taste is not too overpowering or spicy but it is just a hint of it. I find that it is in fact better than the peanuts soup as there is a greater contrast of taste since the ah balling is sweet. The ah balling fillings are sweet and the skin is not too thick. The fillings range from the conventional peanuts, red bean to more unique flavours like green tea and black sesame. 6 ah ballings together with the soup costs $3. continue reading

I love to eat from food street, this is where you can get delicious food. I went there for dessert in search of the delicious tang yuan. So glad to see ah balling there. I took away my favourite peanut soup with peanut flavor and red bean flavor tang yuan. The peanut soup is so good, very nutty, a little oily but not too sweet. the tang yua is very chewy, I love the texture! The peanut filling is really good, it is on the sweet side so goes well with the not so sweet soup. the red bean filling is real good, it is really thick and rich in flavor. really yum! continue reading
