While waiting, we decided to drop by at the round market to have an early lunch.
I ordered a plate of fried kway teow with less chilli from Armenian Street Fried Kway Teow. I have tasted many fried kway teow stalls including the well known ones and surprisingly, this plate of kway teow was palatable. There were several pieces of sliced fish cake, sliced Chinese sausages, bean sprouts, chives and not forgetting cockles. The kway teow combined with noodles were sufficiently moist and yet not too oily.
The overall fried kway teow combination of all the said ingredients added have a caramelised flavour from the sweet black sauce. The bean sprouts and chives provided the crunch and freshness to the dish.
Simply delicious. Very impressed with the first try of this Armenian Street Fried Kway Teow at Tampines Round Market.

Price ranging from $3.00 to $4.00 a plate. Self Service.
Now I know where to go for a good plate of fried kway teow. It’s just within my neighbourhood.
