This zhi char stall at the JTC building sells a variety of thai style zhi char dishes. Today I have ordered a plate Pha Thai which costs $5. Service is quite fast even though it is busy lunch hour. The simple looking noodle dish looks plain but tastes not bad.

My first time Mookata-ing, and I think it was really worth it. I can't remember the exact price but it was approximately $35 for their set which includes 2 eggs, soup, pork meat, veggies, and seafood (prawns).Their sauce is quite good which consisted of Thai chili sauce, garlic..and of course since it's their house sauce they have other ingredients inside. The soup base consists of Tom Yam or Chicken Soup and it comes along with the set.It took a while for the pot to come but it's probably becaus

Their sauce is quite good which consisted of Thai chili sauce, garlic..and of course since it's their house sauce they have other ingredients inside.

The soup base consists of Tom Yam or Chicken Soup and it comes along with the set.
It took a while for the pot to come but it's probably because they were trying to light up the charcoal. We had to scoop the soup into the bowl and then waited for the soup to boil before we started cooking the veggies.

Mookata is really sinful because you can BBQ and steamboat at the same time. The juices of the meats that you BBQ also flow into the soup so your soup is really tasty.

One mistake that we made was that we left the pork fat/lard to the end, but we should have cooked it in the beginning. (We thought it was sliced fish)

You have to pay your meal at the stall but be patient as the workers seem to not be able to speak English well and are from Thailand

Garlic PorkLike its tender texture with lots of crispy garlic on top.Green Papaya SaladPineapple RiceSweet and tasty.Stir Fried Bai Cai Green CurryGarlic Chicken WingsRight in the JTC industrial area, lies this stall in a coffee shop. It is more like a thai style zi char stall, selling a wide range of dishes. It is catered mostly to the nearby working lunch crowd. Overall the food are quite tasty and best of all easy on the wallet. No wonder the people working nearby like to come here to eat.

This relatively new stall serves Thai BBQ/Mookata. Gravy from the grill flows into the soup; not exactly healthy but makes a pretty delicious, if not very salty, soup base after a while. Choice of food was not exactly extensive, with most of the sets already pre-defined and the majority of the sets being chicken-based with a couple of obligatory seafood. Just watch the fire and don’t overcook your food. This costs about $20 per set, and is a relatively filling Thai BBQ.

Saw this new Thai stall opposite where i stayed, so decided to go try it for dinner.Place was relatively empty as it is situated in the food court of an industrial estate. Ordered the Thai BBQ steamboat, food was ok except that the meat are all chicken (or at least most of them are chicken, didn't taste any pork). Asked if they have any thai dessert but sadly they have none as they are understaff.Overall reasonably cheap Thai BBQ steamboat. They serve other thai food like tomyam, pad thai too.
