For full review: http://uniquelious.blogspot.sg/2014/03/ban-chuan-braised-duck-rice.htmlOne of the stall located in Ang Mo Kio centre market, this is among my favorite duck dish places. From duck rice, duck noodle, duck kueh tiao to kueh chap and duck meat sets , price range from, $3.50 onwards. From the rice, to the duck to the sauce. The duck rice is really very tasty. The braised sauce is fragrant and the meat is soft and tender. Braised peanuts are included in most of the dishes too!!The queue is usually very long as the stall is operated by old couple, hence be patience if you really want to try very delicious duck dishes.Highly recommended dish. The duck meat is fresh and tender. Very thin layer of fat between the skin and the meat. The Kueh tiao is smooth and bean sprout are added too. Importantly, it is the broth that make the difference. The broth is thick and tasty, you have the option to choose either to add chili or tomato sauce. Both variety give different taste. I will suggest to take the chili version if you like spicy food. One of the best dish here, the kueh chap consist of pig skin, intestine, braised tau pok, pork meat, braised tau kee and peanuts. If you want to add duck meat, additional $1 which is worth it as the duck is very delicious. The sauce also enhance the ingredients flavour. Not so thick but tasty.Large variety of food - Braised Duck, braised egg, tofu.... etcSelf serving on the braised sauce and chiliI like the duck meat here and the food and price is reasonable here. Only service is abit slow. But who care if the food is nice right?Try it if you drop by here. continue reading

Queue this kway chup for about 15-20mins! Queue really long but is worth waiting! We ordered the set but bad thing is the set don't come with braised eggs gotta order as extra. The kway itself is soft and smooth soup is not very salty and gies well with the chilli. pig intestine is soft, tao pok is very well cooked! Not only selling kway chup but duck rice too will come back to try for more! continue reading

The FoodIt is popular for its braised duck rice, braised duck noodles and kway chap. I ordered a plate of braised duck rice with stewed eggs and braised pig's skin. The order came with braised peanuts and a bowl of duck herbal soup. The yam rice was well-cooked and taste very fragrant with the thick flavourful gravy. The duck meat was boneless and tender. The stewed eggs, braised pig's skin and duck herbal soup were good too. The chilli sauce was okay and had an interesting mixture of thin tart sauce and thick chilli paste. The ServiceAs I went on weekend evening, hence need to queue around 10 mins and it was self-serviceThe AmbienceAlthough the stall is in a hawker center, i find that the place was well-ventilatedThe PriceReasonably priced at $4.50 per plateOverallI will definitely come back again and highly recommended to try this! continue reading

This stall was featured in a recent TV programme so i went to try their duck kway teow for $3. There was a short queue of a few people when i was there. A good portion of kway teow was served with a few slices of nicely sliced braised duck meat. Chopped spring onions and fried pork lards were added to enhance its flavor. The thick gooey braised sauce does go well with the kway teow and it tasted quite nice when added in their special chilli. continue reading

I decided to order enough braised duck meat with braised egg to share with my son. There is no queue during lunch as compared to other braised duck stall. The duck meat was rather tender and chewy. The skin has got a nice soya sauce taste. The rice tasted rather normal. It tasted better when have it with the braised sauce. The chilli tasted slightly sweet with mild spiciness. continue reading
