Barcook Bakery is one of my favourite bakery shop in Singapore! They never fail to have a long queue each time I pass by and I will join in as well! It is really worth the wait. Almost everyone's favourite is their cream cheese bun, which is the bomb! I tried cream cheese buns from other bakeries too but none could beat Barcook! The bun is soft and generously filled with light cream cheese and raisins, simply irresistible!

The Cheese & Rain Bread that I bought from Barcook Bakery Shop at Alberta Complex is quite a great find. I had to wait in a long queue to get it. Though it has simple ingredients, it was done in a wonderful way. The freshly made cheese just melts inside the mouth and the light and creamy cheese, raisins combination goes really well. Everything was fresh and perfect and it costs only $1.40

Bun was tore apart and it was seen that big tasty chunks of roasted to brownish red char siew meat was included. As I sink my teeth into the bun, the pillow soft bun and its sweet tender char siew meat felt fresh!

Apart from the mentioned buns above, Mash Potato Nachos is one of my all time favourite too. Total spending for the morning is $7.60 for 2 Mash Potato, 1 salty egg yolk, 1 polo char siew and 1 liu sha bun.

I happened to be around the area and decided that I had to get some of the bakery's liu sa bun. Unfortunately, they weren't ready yet and I was told a fresh batch will be out within an hour. I decided to roam around the area and do some shopping before returning in an hour's time to buy the bun. It was fresh out of the oven, and I was delighted that it was still warm. As usual, the bread was soft and fluffy. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed by my purchase this time round- the filling was really little and I could not taste much of the salted egg yolk filling, there was just custard. I'm not sure if they might have compromised on the quality as they rushed the bread out for me. I was very disappointed and I do feel the next time you want to buy your favourite bread and are asked to wait for a long time for it, just get some other bread instead.

I noticed that the Liu Sa bread and quickly ordered. They have a creative name of 流沙 “爆”. Yeah, somehow telling us that the fillings will burst right away when you have your bite. Filled with custard salted egg yolk, once you bite onto the bun, true enough the fillings oozed out. Fillings are not too salty and abit warm. WOot! Simply Divine!

Potato Nachos is my all time favorite as well! Potatoes are smashed and blends in very well with the soft chewy bread. On top of that, the fragrance of the nachos are just too luring! I'm lucky that the tray left with 2 of it and ordered the last two!

Salted egg yolk bun is good too. with some sunflower seeds and walnuts and bun lightly coated with salted egg to a kind of perfection. It's not too much and not too less, taste is sufficient enough and not overdosing. Cool. I wonder how did they done it?

Service
Queues are long but they have fast service! Staff are pretty diligent and service with a smile! I love those that are freshly baked and served especially.

Ambience
somewhere opposite sim lim square, just cross the road and you will find one prominent bakery. It is clean and spacious.

Price
Pricing beats our breadtalk outlets. Breads are way better. I prefer Barcook to breadtalk seriously!

Recommendation / Tips
Try all! Breads are soft and good!

One of Barcook Bakery was opened at Bugis OG, the business was always good there. Maybe because they promise their customers that all breads are freshly-baked using finest ingredients and traditional handmade recipes.Their breads are ranged between $1.30 to $1.60, depends on what flavour you choosed.A very soft and flat bread filled with creamy cheese and juicy raisins. It is one of the best seller in the bakery due to perfect combination of Cheese and Raisins. Costed $1.40 each piece.

I spotted a variant of bread from Barcook which I have not tried, the Liu Sa Bao, or flowing custard bun at the corner of the display and I knew I had to try it. The bun as expected from Barcook breads, was soft and fluffy. The main attraction was the salted egg custard filling encased inside the bread, which was unexpectedly rich, full of salted egg flavour and "flowing". One bite and the filling gushed out from the bread! It was unfortunate that the bread I bought was already on display for some time and was no longer warm, if not I would have enjoyed eating this even more!

I heard so much of their famouse Raisin Cream Cheese bun, that I have been wanting to try it. When I spotted there is a branch in Bugis, I just have to buy one to share with a friend even though we were going for lunch. Bought this wholemeal loft bread from this confectionary shop as the packaging looks really neat and the appearance looks delicious too. The bread texture is soft and compact and is filled with generous amount of wheat in it. The slice is quite thick and great to have it on its own or to spread abit of butter and fresh strawberry jams on it tastes equally delicious as well.
