I'd be doing injustice to this Barcook outlet if I didn't make this disclaimer: The review below is meant for their Yuzu Cream Bun only. This is the only Barcook outlet I swore by when it comes to their buns. I tried the buns from the ARC outlet before and they paled in comparison. My buddy said she used to queue for at least 30mins for their Cream Cheese Bun, and man, they were good!  Worth all the calories!! Along with their Liu Sha Bun (do call to make an advanced order). Most of the time, they only have 5-6 buns of each flavour at their counter, and they sell fast!! They always have to replenish the stock at the counter. Having so much confidence in them, I attempted the Yuzu Cream Bun. And I need to say this, they ought to stop selling this! Really appalling! Its inclusion in the Barcook collection was really upsetting!Look at the outlook. The cornflakes gave the bun a bad texture. Chewy bread doesn't go with hard, crispy, tasteless cornflakes. And after chewing off so much bread (look how thick it is), I finally got to the filling. What a disappointment!  It was just flavoured cream! I mean, if there were some Yuzu bits in it, it'll make a whole world of difference! It felt like someone on diet had inserted discarded cream from his/ her slice of cake and stuffed it in the bread.Total Cost: Yuzu Cream Bun- $1-$2 continue reading

Mmm.Ham and cheese ($1.30)Different from the usual ham and cheese. Unique one. continue reading

As i wanted to try something new from the usual bun that i always order, this caught my eye as i have never heard of a salted egg yolk bun before and i thought i must try this bun! It costs $1.60 for it and when i bite into it, the salted egg yolk was really fragrant and that there was even egg yolk bits inside it. I think it is quite nice and would definitely buy this again next time. Barcook has other variety of bread that are quite interesting and i would like to try them too. continue reading

Happen to pass by this bakery shop and saw really long queue outside here and was really curious how good is the taste of their breads. Have gone through the queue for near to twelve minutes and bought a loaf of their wholemeal bread. The packaging looks very trendy and neat and the price is also quite reasonable as well. The texture is very soft and not too dry, which have lots of added wheat in it that make it very healthy and nutrition. Because of its good healthy content in it, I will come back again to buy it some other times. continue reading

This is called " Milky Custard " bread! It is in a plastic holder which makes up the shape of the cup. The special point about it is because of the crumps and bits on top of the bread which tasted sweet and savoury. After which when you bite into the bread, it left a soft tingy feel when you pull away from your teeth. It is freshly baked and match them with a cup of tea/ coffee to complete your meal! continue reading
