This is my second visit and I ordered the beef ball noodle soup this time. The previous time I had their dry beef noodles which was so yummy! However, I was slightly disappointed in their soup as it lack taste and was quite bland. The noodles were fine and the beef balls tasted average. I guess their dry version is much better than their soup.

I love my beef noodles dry mainly because of the thick, starchy and gooey sauce! Wah Eng beef noodle stall used to be at Wisma and then it moved to Serangoon and now it's here! I like that the beef slices are so tender and they gave a generous portion of it. The stickiness of the sauce was also just right and overall, a satisfying dinner!

Sliced Beef Noodles, Dry ($4.50)

One of the better and more affordable sliced beef noodles around.

As you can see, there's a generous amount of ingredients, on top of a mountain of sauce and noodles. It's really delicious too.

I'd say this version is different from Hock Lam Beef Noodle's version, but not necessarily inferior. Although the herbal taste in the sauce is less distinct as compared to Hock Lam's, I'd say there's still a lovely meaty fragrance in this.

Most importantly, although this is located in a food court, it's affordable and I'm willing to go to this food court to pay half the price (as compared to Hock Lam's) for a good bowl of hearty noodles.
