BeiShanChuan spicy steamboat restaurant located just next to the habour at Vivo City, hence you could get a nice view when eating. However, I reckon the service here is pretty bad. The staffs are not too attentive, with attitude problem too. Anyway, the food is so so too. Upon seated, you get to choose two soup base for the steamboat. All the uncooked food for steamboat are displayed nicely in categories. There are quite a few types of vegetables and noodles.Meat. Seafood stuffs. continue reading

Went there as I bought a coupon from BigDeal.com and it looks good. There is a variety of food, and you can choose 2 soup (Laksa, Tom Yum, Chicken, Seafood, Hot and Spicy). They also have cooked food as well as a variety of condiments. However, the utensils were dirty as you can see stains on the utensils. The seafood were not fresh as the fish has a very bad stench and the shells are not washed clean thus, it's sandy when you eat it.It's a restaurant I would not recommend people to go. I think it's not worth it even paying $18.90 per person for the coupon. continue reading

The selection for the steamboat buffet was quite decent, though refills were slow. Apart from uncooked food (they even had crabs!), they also had a cooked food section (fried chicken wings, fried buns). Do try the fried chicken - we took 3-4 plates of it for 8 of us! we tried the tomyam soup, chicken soup and laksa. Do not try the laksa, it was diluted and did not taste like laksa at all. Their drinks were very disappointing also. It costs $4 for a big big cup so we ordered one mango one orange but couldn't differentiate between the two because it was so diluted. Dessert was jelly and fruits. For the price we paid (about 20 plus per student), it was still a good deal. continue reading

At Beishan Chuan, you can enjoy yuan yang steamboat buffet with your loves one as well as admiring the sea view which is just outside the restaurant. The steamboat ingredients are pretty fresh here. Beside the steamboat items, there are also some cooked items such as deep fried chicken wings, fried noodles, cereal prawns that can be found on their buffet spreads. One shortcoming, ice water need to pay $1 (free flow). My verdict: 7/10 continue reading

My friends and i were at Vivocity and we were feeling hungry after our movie! We happened to see a banner advertising this restaurant and decided to give it a go. The place is rather hard to find as it was in a hidden corner. There wasn't much variety to dishes, however, we had a choice of soup. We decided to get half a pot of chicken soup and another half of tom yum!The food was average, but it was really fun dining in a big group. As you can see in the pictures, the pot is pretty crammed with all types of veggies and ingredients! continue reading
