Goreng Pisang for snacks after dinner at Long House. They sell many different types of fried stuff. Besides their famous fried banana, there are also Green bean (80cents), sweet potato(70cents), tapioca(70 cents), etc. Their fried green bean and sweet potato are in circular slices. I love their goreng pisang (fried banana). The prices varies according to the size, from 80cents to $1.20. The ones i bought cost $1 each and yes, it is more crispy and nice!

This stall is famous for goreng pisang but i decided to skip it and go for fried Cempedak. I got 2 pieces to go. The fruits were nicely coated with a thin layer of batter and fried it well to give it the crispiness. It did not taste as oily as expected. Apparently the seed for both was quite huge so it left with little fresh to eat. I would get a few more if i happen to go back. Recommended.

As unhealthy as it is, I couldn't resist buying some of these to eat because it just smelt so nice from where we are sitting. The prices for the banana fritters vary based on size, and I got those at 80cents. I also got the fried tapicoa as well. The banana fritter is really good. The batter is very crispy and the batter is not too thick. The banana is very sweet and melts in your mouth. This is quite a sinful treat, but one which I am willing to indulge in once a while!

In search of a good dessert after lunch, we found ourselves in Long house food court at Upper Thomson. Boon Pisang Goreng has to have an extremely light, porous and crispy batter, and the banana are sweet too! simply delicious!

A dollop of ice cream or caramel would have this 100% perfect for a tea time

Boon Pisang Goreng may not be a fanciful snack outlet, but it sure dishes out some delicious offerings. I always order the crispy Banana Fritters (70 - 90 cents) when I go there. Besides the banana fritters, the other must-tries are Green Bean, Tapioca, Sweet Potato (60 cents each). Each snack is coated with thin batter so that the taste of the main ingredient is brought out. It is also not too sweet so even after you ate one, you just want another!

Buy a few of these home as snacks and they're sure to please every family member!
