Tonight dinner we had imperial roast pork ribs, white chicken, tofu and spinach with salted eggs. The quality remains consistent. The chicken smoothness is better than the branch in AMK. The pork ribs were tasty, and so were the rest. The rice is fragrant. Very well patronized. Pricing wise is reasonable and service is good. Good place to bring friends and tourists as well to experience the chicken rice experience. 

一家四口去了文東記，點了海南雞、扣肉包、金銀蛋莧菜和麥皮蝦。想再點多些，但侍應叔叔主動說已經夠吃，最後來了四碟，份量真不少，侍應叔叔好人又老實。一家吃了一啖海南雞，真的很滑很好味，絕對要推介給大家！再吃麥皮蝦，很香很趣，蝦也很海鮮，啖啖肉，一碟有6隻，大大隻。跟著的扣肉包又很出色。扣肉不肥但又好冧，多吃一件也不會覺得油。金銀蛋莧菜一碟咁平凡的菜色更加比到驚喜我們！菜很嫩、湯很好味！記得一定要叫桔仔水和薏米水，咁就真係完美！

My family likes to eat Boon Tong Kee's chicken rice. Hence, I went to the main branch to buy takeaway chicken meat with Chee Cheong Fun. I find that their chicken meat was not as tender and juicy,  the skin was not as silky smooth as compared to ten years ago. My dad is a fan of Boon Tong Kee, so we often go eat. I don't really like it but this time I find that it tasted not bad. The chicken this time was very tender,very smooth, love it. Boon tong kee chicken rice always come with a meat ball and some sour vegetables. It is super sour for me, but feel quite refreshing after having oily rice. The queue can be very long during peak hour, service is okay.

Being in the Balestier area after visiting a friend, we went to BTK to order Golden Toufu,Hainanese Chicken, Assorted egg spinach. We were served shortly upon order.Tender and succulent boiled Chicken oozes the sauce it had absorbed when served from plate.Crispy golden toufu had a vibrant and appealing colour, but unfortunately was bland. Boon Tong Kee a chicken rice food chains in Singapore for many years and are well known by many for their famous white chicken rice. Been awhile since i had my last plate of chicken rice and decide to have it for lunch. Best chicken rice at Boon Tong Kee. I really like their chicken rice. Packet away for lunch. The take away container looked very presentable as well. One portion for chicken rice, top left for cucumber and right for all the chicken and sauces. I like their sauce mainly. It is a little salty but tasted real good with the chicken and rice. The chicken is very juicy and succulent. Will definitely be back again and again!

I decided to bring my dad to dine here for his birthday celebration as he had actually wished to try out the famous chicken here.As I thought that ordering half of a whole chicken would be sufficient for 4 mouths, I didn't think too much of the serving and also ordered claypot beancurd and deep fried prawn rolls. Tried Boon Tong Kee’s recommended Long Then Yu, $43, a signature fish dish that is seasonal. The fish was served with roasted pork, mushrooms, beancurd and fish maw! This dish reminds of Pen Chai, you know that large claypot dish filled to the brim with seafood and thick savoury braised gravy? Rich and bursting with flavours of the sea, I actually liked this dish better than the chicken!The restaurant said it’s their policy to charge customers extra $2 if they order claypot dishes. Odd.
