So, the drink stall sells MEE REBUS at only $2.30!!! It's so cheap, cheaper than what you can find at the People's Park hawker center, which can be super crowded, and most of the tables are dirty. Here, it's an air conditioned food court! For $2.30, here's what you get, a full plate of mee rebus and even a full sized hard boiled egg. Can't beat the value in this dish!It is also not too spicy, and I don't normally eat spicy foods either.Do give it a try. It is in the basement of the People's Park Centre, admist all the travel agencies! A hidden gem! continue reading

I past by this busy food court and decided to grab a drink on an extremely hot day. I decided to have iced Bandung (rose syrup in milk). There were already rows of prepared drinks and the counter staff told me to take one from there. But the prepared ones were not cold anymore so I asked them to make me a new one. Somewhat unhappy, they decided to do so anyway. Luckily I asked them to make one because at $1.50, this Bandung was quite expensive. The bandung tasted fine and not overly sweet (which would be if too much condensed milk was added). Just remember to get a new cup next time. continue reading

I was looking for a drink to go with my meal in people's park centre's food court, and it was just nice that the drinks stall has barley. I got a cup at $1, but I was rather disappointed as it wasn't chilled at all and the barley was quite diluted. The drinks were displayed near the counter and not refrigerated, and when I requested for chilled barley, the woman insisted that I take from there. Barley tasted normal and wasn't too sweet. continue reading
