I'm a stranger to Mediterranean food. The only Mediterranean food that I've tried was from Fig & Olive back in 2013 New Year. Less than a year later, I'm back to the same ground only to find that the standard has tremendously dropped.For rather cheaply, Fig & olive is now cutting down on their prices, having promotions such as a set meal for about $9.90. However, the rice was dry and oily, and the fish tasted so cheap that I could hardly taste any fish but only the crispy bread crumbs.The same goes for the other set meal choice, which was the mint herb chicken. It tasted really weird, I guess we are not used to the Mediterranean food! it also took a long while before we can finally get the attention of the waiters and waitresses.

I have bought the promotional coupon from plus deal website on this restaurant and decided to have a simple feast with my husband. The restaurant layout looks simple and quite small as well. I have ordered their chicken steak, which turns out to be delicious and the presentation was quite nice too. The chicken meat was tender and juicy. Love those thick peppery gravy topped on it which is flavourful and goes very well with the chicken meat. The staffs are friendly and have greet us good-bye when we left the restaurant.

Before catching a movie with my friend, we decided to eat something and i thought of Fig&Olives since we NEVER tried there before and it always caught my eyes when i walk past going to the toilet nearby. It was empty. Price was reasonable. Friendly customer service. Unfortunately, the food was horrible. I was disappointed. The Marinara sauce was too soupy, too soagy. It was tasteless as well. As for the fish and chip, it wasnt worth the price really. It only came with one Fish Fillet. I wouldn't consider eating at Fig & Olive again.

Fig & Olive's spicy tuna pasta is way below average!! The pasta doesn't look appealing or appetizing at all. And the portion is quite small also which doesn't fill your stomach. Anyway this set is quite cheap, and i am very full after eating. I like they way to use olive oil instead of normal oil. more healthy.
