My mum recommended this fish soup stall to us when we were in Chinatown yesterday! I love fish soup so I could not pass this up for the rest of the food! I ordered the fish soup + bowl of rice for $5. For $5, there's quite a generous amount of sliced fish inside. However, the fish were sliced quite thickly. I prefer it to be thinner though. There's vegetables, 2 pieces of small tofu and 1 slice of tomato inside. The soup was okay, not too salty but not very flavourful too. continue reading

This is my favourite fish soup and fish porride stall. I always buy for my mom whenever i pass by this area. The sliced fish were very fresh, tender and 'Q'. And they were rather generous with the sliced fishes. (They give quite many and big pieces) Their soup base was rather sweet and tasted so well with the seaweed. But I will always like to add in some ginger and small chilli padi paste to enhance the flavourfulness of the soup! Love dipping the sliced fish into the ginger and small chilli padi paste too. Tasted yummy! continue reading
