I've always like mini buns and i can just go the bakery, grab some and eat it on the spot! Recently while shopping, i got really hungry so i was happy when i spotted Four Leaves nearby and i remembered they have the mini buns so i grabbed 5 for $3.30!I took a variety of 5 different flavors ( chili crab, luncheon meat, black pepper sausage, potato with ham and crabmeat ) and i simply love the fluffy soft bread with the various fillings in it. I actually don't find it too mini and the size of the mini buns are quite decent after all. continue reading

Four leaves and Breadtalk are two of the more popular bread chains in Singapore, and both specializes in different kinds of bread. I prefer the plain bread from four leaves - would make a healthy breakfast choice; chose the one that has nuts in it, bread was soft and nuts within gave an occasional crunch, and was very fragrant. Could spread some margarine on it if you like it to be more flavourful continue reading

I wandered in to Four Leaves bakery while waiting for my friend to arrive. I was just browsing the selection of breads when I saw this almond pies. This looks very similar to something that I had in hong kong previously and I loved the taste of what I had previously. Hence, I decided to buy it and try it for myself. One packet costs $3.70. I am glad I got it, because the taste is really similar to the one that I had in hong kong. The "pie/biscuit" is very crispy and flaky and it is sweet as well from the light sugar coating at the top and a little salty for the rest of the layers of the pie. I would think it is best enjoyed on the same day to retain its crispiness. I would definitely buy it again! continue reading
