The thinly fried eggs are lightly fried until light brown and the chewy chunks of flour cake are moist and springy, though some might find them too soft. The sambal chilli is lightly spicy without being overpowering. The spring onions complemented the flour cakes really well and added some crunch to the dish.Overall, this dish is not too salty nor too oily, which is good. continue reading

A great all day food: Carrot cake! Have it in either black or white, with or without chilli and it taste just great. I love how this stall puts in enough egg into their carrot cake and the kueh is just SOOOO soft and nice. The chilli that accompanies the carrot cake is also really good and it adds another dimension to the overall taste of the carrot cake. Both the black and white carrot cake are really good as don't miss it when you are there. continue reading

Make your order of carrot cake, black or white and they will arrive at your table generously fried with headily fragrant bits of preserved radish, pieces of radish cake and well fried egg mixture. All this with a dash of colour from crunchy spring onions.I don't mean to burst your bubble but...To be honest, this visit left us disappointed. The $3 version differed minimally from the $2 order. The radish cake pieces were a lot more firm than they used to be. And I've heard that's because he's no longer making the radish cake himself but has outsourced this labourious process.I used to really love this. But I guess.Things do change. continue reading

Fried oyster! my favourite!Had dinner at AMK coz i visited my friends' house nearby. The food court has got quite wide variety of food to be choose from. This is the Nice fried oyster with egg i ate at there. The fried cai po is so tasty and crunchy, together with fresh oyster and the nice smell of eggs. NIce when eat with the chillies too. Service is ok, the food court is a bit dirty though. Would visit again if I have the chance. continue reading

The purpose of trying this particular stall is to write a review for Openrice. I already have a certain doubt that the food would be nice thus i ordered without an expectation. This stall offers fried carrot cake and fried oyster too. Another 'Jack of all trades, master of none' stall which i normally stay away. I decided to give them a chance to prove me wrong apparently i was still left disappointed. The saltiness of the fried kway teow was the major turn off and it was a little over fried too thus a little hard. It was fried a few slices of fishcake and a little egg. Not recommended. continue reading
