Ordered a bowl of mee pok fish ball noodles as I always see people eating it and it looks delicious. At only $2.50, it is really cheap and affordAble and worth a try. The portion is however quite small though and I only felt 90% full after finishing it. The fishball was quite soft and the gravy was well mixed and went well with the mee pok (shortcoming was that the mee pok had a bit of 'noodle' smell). The soup was very flavourful  and tasty. Will come back again! continue reading

the new world is located right at a corner of the food area at north spine so one may miss it easily as the entrance is really small. This new stall sells noodles at $2.50. I got a bowl of kway tiao soup for $2.50. The soup had m.s.g. instead of "natural" flavours. The kway tiao was soft and portion was also good for $2.50. The New World functions in a similar fashion like Marche where you have a card and credit all your food purchases to the card, making it an almost cash-less experience. It's slightly less hassle-free, but if you lose the card the penalty is $50 I tried Guan Hand Made Fish Ball Noodle's stall because it has the shortest queue and I was in a rush. They prepared my Bar Chor Mee ($3.30) quickly. The other noodle dishes are also priced at $3.30. No extra charges for more noodles! I like the bar chor mee here quite a lot, the noodles are springy and tasty with spring onions and it's also sufficiently greasy and soaked in the gravy! The minced meat is also chewy enough. The fishballs were springy too! But the soup is quite evidently laden with MSG... the health-conscious me decided not to drink the soup. I recommend this stall! What's more that's hardly a queue because it is situated all the way at the back. continue reading
