Their prawn noodles is cheap.. The pork rib and prawn noodles only $3. The prawn is not big but taste fresh. I love the pork rib, it is very soft and taste real good! Usually, I would ask them to add more ketchup to it. Their prawn soup taste quite sweet. Beside prawn noodles, they are sell wanton mee, and dumpling noodles. A bowl of it is merely $2.50. The cha siew is too thin..but I like the springy noodles. The wanton is filled with minced pork...not bad... continue reading

Saw their stall on tv, decide go and try, they are slow and auntie constantly chatting with customers, creating the queue there, the soup base are rather tasteless, not fragrant at all, ingredients given are a bit only, expensive for the price, prawns fresh but too small (maybe that explains why soup base not fragrant at all), a great disappointment for me, won't go back eat again. continue reading

This stall has recently featured in a food programme. I expected the queue to be long but it turned out to be less than 10 people waiting in the queue. I guess the TV effect has been long gone. I joined in and waited for about 10 minutes to order. The stall is manned by a friendly Uncle who took the order then passed it to be cooked by the Auntie.I wanted the prawns with pork ribs noodle soup as i realised most of those customers before me ordered the soup version too. I guess the soup version must be better. I was given the selection of $3 and $4. I decided to go with the larger bowl. I paid the Uncle then helped myself to the red cut chilli. The red cut chilli is supposed to serve with the dark soya sauce as that was the only one available right there. A good portion of nicely cooked yellow noodle was served with 3 pieces of medium and small prawns together with a few pieces of pork ribs. The soup tasted noticeably sweeter. I could taste the intensity of prawn flavour in it. That must be the reason why so many of the other customers went for the soup and not the dry one. The prawns tasted relatively fresh and sweet. There were 2 pieces of the medium sized ones and 1 of the really small one. And, i enjoyed the pork ribs pretty much. I was amazed by the noticeable effort demonstrated by the stall owners to really braised these pork ribs well. The meat pulled away from the bone effortlessly with just the right softness to reduce the chewiness too. The pork ribs should be soft enough for their elderly customers too. The light of the signboard was already off when i went back to get my cup of coffee from the drink stall next to it. Then i realised the stall is usually closed at 2 pm or earlier if sold out. It must be my lucky day to be able to get one of their last few bowls of that day. I would like to eat it again if i happen to be in the vicinity. continue reading
